So while you sit there anonymously behind your computer and snicker, here are two thoughts that obviously NEVER crossed your narrow minds:

1) Yesterday, parents lost their son, siblings lost their brother, and three children lost their father. And that's incredibly funny, right haters? You're just sitting there behind a computer, yukking it up, and blogging your vile hate anywhere you can post it.

That's not two thoughts, though. That's barely half a thought.

When I was a little boy, I used to have a pet cat that I loved very much until my Jew parents ate it. But I don't use a picture of that (or, translated into whatever blasphemous wetback dialect you use, "CAT PIC, NOT IS"), I use one of me. Because that's what normal people do.

Think what you want, but there isn't a single person on this entire planet whose life would hold up under the kind of microscopic scrutiny that people like Michael Jackson have/had to deal with. Not one person.

I think most people would probably be able to hold up under the "do you molest children?" test, though.

But when it happens to someone else, you simply giggle behind your computer monitor and stuff junk food into your mouth.

More lies. As it happened, when I heard about the dead paedo clown, I was eating an apple. If I can't even trust you about that, why should I trust you about anything else?

I even received a text message today from a friend, passing along what she thought was a funny joke about what happened yesterday, forgetting the sadness she herself felt when her own daughter's 19 year old boyfriend was killed by a drunk driver some months ago. Same thing: parents lost their son, siblings lost their brother, a lot of people lost a good friend, and a young person lost the chance to live his life. Her reaction then was how everyone wanted to kill the drunk driver. Today, it's plastic surgery joke. My response was a simple "Not funny...", and I haven't heard back from her since.

That's understandable. There are much funnier jokes than the plastic surgery ones. What's black and white and dead all over?

I don't see any Bible passages that tell us to hate anyone. There are some that imply God hates people, but of course that is just anthropomorphic figurative speech.

It sure tells us who not to love. And I believe it says it's OK to love other Christians. At least True Christians™, that is.

I've never encountered as much stupidity, illiterate, ignorant and
uneducated people posting on landover forum. Hasn't anyone gone to school? What
is the educational level of these people? Is this an example of how
inadequate our educational system is??
The ignorance and sheer stupidity of people who post here is amazing.
Sshould shut down the entire page until things settle
down. The roaches are crawling roaches are crawling out of the
woodwork, the idiots are blogging, and this whole page has gone out of
control. I've seen racism and anti-Semitism on these posts, I've read
of suicides of f, and just about everything you can imagine. One must
ask themselves: what, as a society are we coming to when people can't
think, spell, and even express their thoughts in a correct grammatical
manner. I think the Federal Government needs to look at these postings
and see how much sheer stupidity is rampant on these pages. Someone
may reply, "Then what are YOU doing here?". I'm here because I am
curious, but now I've become shocked and alarmed at the mental
deficiencies of these posters. If this is what America has produced
with respect to education, then we as a nation are going to become
extinct.

Mr. Garcia, unlike these uneducated yokels here, I am a professor of African-American studies at Berkeley and I must say I agree with your sentiment. However, just because of their oppressive and negative nature, does not mean you should be ashamed of your homosexuality. By staying in the closet, you are simply enabling these brainwashed Christians and are giving power to them.

Don't give them that power! Stand up, Juan Garcia and say out loud: "I am gay and I am proud!". I know you can do it. Find the strength.

Jesus was using a figure of speech. He meant that you love God so much more, that it's almost as if you hate those people. Let's look at the parallel verse in Matthew 10:37

Matthew 10: 34-37"Don't think I've come to make life cozy. I've come to cut—make a sharp knife-cut between son and father, daughter and mother, bride and mother-in-law—cut through these cozy domestic arrangements and free you for God. Well-meaning family members can be your worst enemies. If you prefer father or mother over me, you don't deserve me. If you prefer son or daughter over me, you don't deserve me.

In fact we know from other parts of scripture you are supposed to love your parents (Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16, Ephesians 6:2, Proverbs 1:8, Proverbs 23:22, Malachi 4:6); wives (Ephesians 5:28, Ephesians 5:33, Colossians 3:19), children (Colossians 3:21), siblings (Leviticus 19:17, 1 John 3:15, 1 John 4:20-21), and yourself (Leviticus 19:17).

The only explanation would be that the Bible is contradicting itself.
