Sodomarriage activists are always clamoring for evidence that they're damaging the sacred institution of matrimony. Be careful what you wish for. The facts are in, and they are damning to say the least.
From the Population Reference Bureau:
They mention that the decline has worsened "since the onset of the recession," but conveniently leave out a certain Kenyan Communist who usurped a certain high office around the same time. We're not fooled. The connection is as plain as day.
The report also provides this disturbing chart. Notice that the decline began around 1967, the year when another chunk was blasted from the bedrock of society; I refer, of course, to the legalization of interracial "marriage" by an activist Supreme Court.

At this rate, marriage will simply cease to exist around 2050 or so, but I think it's going to happen sooner. Remember that human-animal and adult-child "marriages" are still on the horizon and will be here in short order if Obongo has his way. Ditto human-plant unions. Yes, things are going to get a lot worse before Jesus comes back.
If there's one thing liberals hate, it's facts. Next time some AIDS-riddled freak gasps and wheezes that "marriage equality doethn't hurt anyone," show him this chart. He may just keel over on the spot!
From the Population Reference Bureau:
In U.S., Proportion Married at Lowest Recorded Levels
by Mark Mather and Diana Lavery
(September 2010) Marriage rates have dropped precipitously among young adults ages 25 to 34 during the past decade and the decline has accelerated since the onset of the recession, according to PRB's analysis of new data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2009 American Community Survey (ACS) and 2010 Current Population Survey (CPS). The data suggest that more young couples are delaying marriage or foregoing matrimony altogether, likely as an adaptive response to the economic downturn and decline in the housing market.
Between 2000 and 2009, the share of young adults ages 25 to 34 who are married dropped 10 percentage points, from 55 percent to 45 percent, according to ACS data.1 During the same period, the percentage who have never been married increased sharply, from 34 percent to 46 percent. In a dramatic reversal, the proportion of young adults in the United States who have never been married now exceeds those who are married.
