So how is this version of Christianity any different than other kinds of Christianity? They've given you the scripture to back up their points. I have made some pastors very uncomfortable by asking them about parts of the Bible that aren't so politically correct.

Not quite sure where your getting the information from but the Bible states men should have short hair and women should have long hair, as nature intended. Leviticus 21:5 states that they shouldn't shave themselves bald (although natural baldness is fine Leviticus 13:40) bu Also the mutilating bodies, I assume you're discussing Leviticus 21:5 which discusses cuttings and tattoos. Not sure what that has to do with homosexuality.

You seem to be mixing up religions here. It's the Buddhists who are strongly against "mind alternating substances" (well not the hippie Buddhists) I can't think of any Bible quote that says that you shouldn't drink wine. Plenty that say you shouldn't be a drunkard, and I know that our current culture has a hard time understanding degrees (i.e. one drink doesn't make you a drunkard)
