Why not, and why then are you even here?

Possibility #1) You want to become a True Christian(tm). In that case, you'll have to know the Bible a lot better than just bits and pieces from here and there.

Possibility #2) You want to argue with the True Christians(tm). In that case, you'll have to know the Bible even better than in case 1 (or have a bottle of syrup at hand to pour over yourself, because they'll have you for breakfast).

Neither, actually. I rediscovered this site after so many years and was feeling nostalgic.

You've been on this forum for the last 24 hours and have yet to say a single thing about Jesus?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Angelique, why are you nostalgic for this place? Do you enjoy reminiscing about the good old days when you wasted everybody's time?

As opposed to now, when you would never think of wasting our time?

So many people are led astray, often by unreliable "friends" (well, just the one in this case), and there could be a clue here in what went wrong from the last post of one such dubious associate. Magikarp needs no introduction to Miss Angelique but that final thread caused me some concern.

Apparently the 4/20 gained recognition because that was when detention from the high school where this started ended. They would all congregate around a statue there and smoke. I'm surprised there's not already a thread about this, but oh well.

Imagine the harm done to minds still forming by such an activity. By the time detention was over at 20 past 4 there would be very few remaining on the campus and the congregants would be comparatively unsupervised. Satan would not let that pass and whatever Magikarp claims not to have done, if I believe the claim, there is nothing to prevent the stuff being eaten.

From her profile details it's clear that Miss A. has been on a downward spiral and I am encouraged by her return. She may have thought to mock and tease but she is here and I'll extend the hand of friendship in the hope that she'll learn something about God's perfection and the standards He has preserved for us in The Bible. They are very different from secular standards and by posting Scripture there is an opportunity to make plain just how that difference could turn her life around.

                          EXODUS 32
                          1-6
when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD. And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

This frolicking orgy is just the sort of thing pagan secularists enjoy but God knew how vile a thing it was they did.
7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:

God's standard remains the same today. All the playing around and intoxication of humanistic heathens whether before a decorated altar or not is an abomination. God explains:

                          I CORINTHIANS 10
                          6b
we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.
8a Neither let us commit fornication

Any day now Jesus will be returning. False doctrine is all around. Perhaps a friendly word may save just one more from HELL. FOREVER.
