Really? I'm surprised, considering your background. What software did you use? (I currently use Magix, but I'm looking at Cubase and Ableton.)

Are you teched? Can you not see that you are smugly admitting that Catholics worship these false gods? No one who prays to an idol is actually worshipping the idol; they are worshipping the false god the idol represents. That is a violation of God's law and there is but one punishment for that behavior. It is the lake of fire that knows no quenching. There you will be consigned to roast for eternity.

It seems your reading comprehension is lacking, as is your reasoning ability. You're not a nigra are you?

Yes. The Cathlicks worship and/or HONOR the 'people' or gods that the statues represent, which is IDOLATRY... which the Bible condemns. As Basilissa pointed out, the serpent of brass (which represented Christ BTW) was NOT made to be worshiped. But when the people started to use it to worship by kneeling down before it like dumb catlicks, whether they thought it represented Christ or not, then it became an idol and needed to be destroyed.

What the catlicks do is absolutely condemned by God and the bible. They will all burn in hell. There is no way of twisting it to make it right.

You already had it color coded for you by Basilissa. Do you also need it drawn in crayon for you too?

After great responses from Brother Alvin and Mr. Hall I feel like I'm beating a dead horse here, but I think it is a dead horse worth beating, as this issue comes up quite often.

God is quite clear when He says that He does not want us to make images that can be interpreted as a likeness of something that exists:

Exodus 20:4 - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:

That is pretty straight forward. Is a representation of a Virgin Mary a likeness of mother of Jesus? I'd say so, wouldn't you?

It's even worse if you worship (or honor) that image -

Leviticus 26:1 - Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up [any] image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I [am] the LORD your God.

Again, God is very clear. Do not make any images, and whatever you do, do not bow down before such images. Do Catholic people bow before graven images? They certainly do.

                Here is one example:

This is a Catholic church in South America (by which I do not mean Florida, this place is even more south). You can see a woman kneeling before a wooden statue of Mary - the image is quite small, so here is a closeup of the statue:

People bow, kneel, and pray before that image, they dress it up (I guess at some level they realize it's just a doll), bring gifts to the statue, and they used to burn candles before it (recently the candle burning operation has been moved to another building, because the priests finally realized that the touristic value of the site is more important than the faithful people's needs).

In addition, even though "Our Lady" of Copacabana, Guadalupe, Lourdes, Fatima, etc, etc, are supposed to be representation of one and the same mother of Jesus, each one of them has different specialties*, and people often pray to more then one - if that's not idolatry then I don't know what is.

                _____________
                * Which is because they are not one and the same, but rather different disguised pagan goddesses. The same goes for half of Catholic "saints," as well - Catholics were quite good at incorporating pagan gods to their own pantheon. Again, idolatry at its finest.
God created fossils to test our faith.

..point is that even by the Romish text itself, papist idolators contradict God and do the opposite of what He commands. The prohibition is against bowing down, regardless of what you call it.

                  KING JAMES BIBLE
DEUTERONOMY 5:9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

                  DOUAY-RHEIMS (CATHOLIC BIBLE)
DEUTERONOMY 5:9 Thou shalt not adore them, and thou shalt not serve them. For I am the Lord thy God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon their children unto the third and fourth generation, to them that hate me,

JERUSALEM BIBLE ©1966 (ANOTHER CATHOLIC BIBLE)
                  DEUTERONOMY 5:9 you shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God and I punish the fathers' fault in the sons, the grandsons and the great-grandsons of those who hate me;

So get off the Ableton and get with The Bible. Regardless of which version you read or what lies your priests erupt it is the act of bowing, and if you say you're not "worshipping" but "adoring" or "venerating" or whatever makes no difference because these abominations are set up for the express purpose of bowing down in front of.

Time for some more Scripture. Three translations included, one traditional popish, one modern for comparison to show that even by their own standard catholics not only disregard God but do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what He commands: the 3 versions are not posted to showcase dialects of English.

                  KING JAMES BIBLE
PROVERBS 30:6 context Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

                  DOUAY-RHEIMS
PROVERBS 30:6 Add not any thing to his words, lest thou be reproved, and found a liar:

                  JERUSALEM BIBLE ©1966
PROVERBS 30:6 To his words make no addition, lest he reprove you and know you for a fraud.

Open any page you like of the Douay-Rheims and you'll see appended words interspersed with Scripture, interestingly not augmenting the passage about not adding words like it's pretty succinct really and difficult to spin. The whole thing blasted with idols with a representation of the most blasphemous idol—a dead Jesus—on every page. Who celebrated Jesus dead? Satan. Satan and all his demons. They shudder lest any papist, or other orthodox idolator, realise that Jesus is alive. Yeah, they say He's alive (I suppose) but do they live He's Alive? No. The principle these graven images represents is demonic and all Romish heretics worship demons.

If you don't believe what The Bible says how can you call yourself a Christian? How can anyone.
