Well, sweetie, if you feel that one of your limbs is sinning, go ahead and chop it off. I must admit I've never encountered this problem, and I've never seen anyone in our community with this problem. That's because we are Christians who actually obey the Lord and fear Hell and do not sin.

Dear Randyq-- I, for one, am happy that you are here and don't want to see you banned. I want you to stick around and read, read, read.


Anything you see that you don't like, feel free to follow from the original source, i.e., the Bible itself. There are so many deluded dupes out there who think that know what the Bible says, and many, many more who cherry-pick the pretty parts to create a comfortable, modern mythos for themselves.


Don't be deceived! The book known by millions as the Word of God really does speak for itself and it specifically cautions against singling out one verse in favor of another. To stand true as a believer, you really do have to be willing to swallow the whole thing, sort of like Jonah and the sea monster, which is not specifically identified as a whale.


So, have fun looking around this site, but for real enjoyment, read the Bible!

First of all, there are some spelling and formatting errors in your post, which-- being a gentle soul, I would normally let pass-- but they concern Scripture, so I will have to silently condemn you for them in my mind.


Second, you quoted the instructions from The Good Lord's Own Mouth, right out of Holy Writ, and you don't see the problem?!


You should be seeing people cutting off their hands! If they claim to be Bible-Believin' Followers of Christ, then they need to follow what Christ says in the Bible! It is so simple!

Oh, my. Forgive me, dear Brethren. I was getting quite besides myself whilst using all those italics* and exclamation marks. I normally try to comport myself in a more constrained and lady-like manner.


One final word to our visitor. You asked, "Is this real?" I put it to you -- is Hell real? Is Salvation? Did Almighty God impregnate a virgin to bring His Son into this world in order to give us His Holy Word right out of His Holy Mouth, so that we could live our lives in accordance with His Holy Will and not sin with our lowly, human behavior? And did not Jesus die on the cross so that His Holy Blood could wash clean our sins so that we could stand in the Presence of a Perfect God Who cannot tolerate the presence of sin before Him?


These are the questions you must ask yourself, because this is The Message of God in the Bible. (Along with a few other detailed instructions.)


If you really, really believe you must follow as Christ Commands, then I hope that you can type left handed. . . Assuming we hear back from you.

In any case, this sentiment was understood and answered by my Sister in Christ, Basilissa:

The answer to your implied question, "Why"? is "Because we don't need to as we no longer sin." We didn't make this up, dear. This is the mechanics of sin and justification as created by Jesus:

This website has reinforced my feelings about Christianity or is it just baptists? Arrogance, mind control through intimidation, ignorant of science, hate against fellow humans because that don't measure up to your holiness.
You people surround yourselves with other like minded people and when a "guest" has a few challenging questions, he is ridiculed and will probably be banned.
You should focus on love and trying to reach out to lost souls. Not spewing hate and the holier than thou attitude.
Did you ever consider why you believe what you believe? My guess is because you where born, by chance, into a Christian home not Hindu, or Islam or any of the 1000's of other religions. By pure numbers, you have about a 95% chance of being wrong and going to hell.
