That is a peculiar comment, Mr. Derffy. Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? Because I tell you this with all sincerity- It is either that or Hell. I stumbled across this verse. Is this too in your bible?

Of course our Bibles have that verse. I surmise you're confused because Jesus = God and simultaneously God > Jesus, an apparent paradox that is enigmatic to atheists and false Christians.

God has the liberty of placing His own manifestations of the Trinity in any order He wishes. Jesus = God but also God's Son, the one by whom Creation took place (John 1:2-4), our Lord and the manifestation that God = Jesus sacrificed for a minute on the Cross. If God wishes, He can have more infinite powers than the infinite powers of Jesus. It is the same as with mathematics. There is an infinite amount of natural numbers and an infinite amount of real numbers but still the real numbers are more numerous. This will help you to understand the relations between the personae of the Trinity.

Eventually, Jesus Has been and is and will be given all power.

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

They decide on the division of power and if they wish to fluctuate it among themselves, who are we to criticize it?

Luke 6:22 - Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and shall reproach [you], and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

You see, your problem is, you're over-thinking it. God hates smarty pants such as yourself, you know:

1 Corinthians 1:19-21
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Since this is a Baptist site, you may rest assured that the people here are of the notion that Jesus of Nazareth is the son of G_d. However, they are mistaken.


If you study much Jewish history, you'll find that we - the Jews - tried time and time again to help this Jesus guy out, but he was so stubborn and headstrong, especially once he got it in his head that he was somehow divine. Messiah will come soon; many signs point to it. The philosopher and activist known as Jesus, however, is most definitely just a misguided carpenter from a backward land. G_d is not so stupid as to send Messiah at a time when he could not reach the masses. G_d has no reason to send His creation to burn in eternal hell because He loves us. His provision is shown for us throughout Torah and all Jewish scholarly texts.


I have found this site to be very contentious if you do not agree with them so if you are here to debate, I would tread lightly. If, however, you regurgitate everything they believe in and follow their Jesus blindly, you'll be fine and most welcome.


I'd also recommend support for the 2nd Amendment.
