Good for you! So what church do you go to, what is your favorite Bible verse, and how did you find Jesus?

Why? God told us to have dominion over them, not to love them (Genesis 1:26).

Welcome, Christian. We are friendly here and we welcome your testimony. I must, however, express some concern over your comment that you love animals with no restrictions. This could be problematic. Exactly how far does your love for these animals go?

Sister Basilissa has the right of it. The relationship of man to animals is spelled out in Genesis. Adam named the animals. The Lord skinned one or two to clothe the disobedient Eve and the co-opted Adam.


Later, Noah was charged with saving animals and then immediately after the Flood the Lord spake to him thusly:


Genesis 9:2-3
And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.



Get it? They're supposed to be afraid of you. God ordained it that way. Anyone calling themselves a Christian would accept this state of affairs because it is expressly set forth in the Bible.


If you're going to get all sentimental and gushy about animals you may as well take things to the Nth level and become a Jain. Then, you can lobby Congress for Root Vegetable Rights.
