    Disgusted

    I had heard about Landover Baptist Church many years ago. I was certain that as True Christian ™ you would stand by the WORD OF THE LORD but your unfaithfulness as caused me to question this. As a result I have decided to find out for myself.

    The WORD OF THE LORD states very clearly: "And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith" (Judges 15:15) "Go thou and do likewise" (Luke 10:37).

    Care to explain to me, as well as to yourselves, why you are not following the WORD OF THE LORD? Are you not ashamed? Or do you have the spirit of repentance as befits the Holy Saints and willing to confess thy sin?
    "And a certaine man of the sonnes of the Prophets, saide vnto his neighbour in the word of the LORD, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him. Then said he vnto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voyce of the LORD, beholde, assoone as thou are departed from me, a lyon shal slay thee."     Holy Saints? You must think you've found a papist forum. We are Christian here, friend, and I have no idea what you are talking about.

      I use the only real Bible: the original 1612 King James Bible, not the modern trashy version of the so-called King James Bible.

      In the ONLY REAL BIBLE we readeth:

      1 Thessalonians 3:13 - "To the end hee may stablish your hearts vnblameable in holinesse before God euen our Father, at the comming of our Lord Iesus Christ with all his Saints"

      Saints is capitalized, and we are Saints who must be vnblameable in holinesse. Do you also doubt the WORD OF THE LORD?

        Out of all of the cherry pickers out there, you certainly are one of the looniest.

        The first verse talks about how True Christians™ have to treat the unbelievers under certain conditions; the second verse talks about how everyone, unbelievers included, should treat True Christians™. The former need to be slain (when God says so), the latter need to be cared for (Luke 10:30-36).

        P.S.: Please notice the Bible speaks just of saints, not "holy" saints.
        God created fossils to test our faith.

          If you think I'm going to go out to the hills behind old man Jenkins' farm, pick up a dead donkey's jawbone off the ground, drive back into town, and start beating random people on the streets of Des Moines with it because you strung together a couple random Bible Verses, think again. Good gravy, what do they teach in Sunday School these days?

              Yes, we must.

              Which is why also must follow the secular laws.

              And we also must read the Bible as it is, and not cherry pick it as we see fit.

              As your posts show, you fail on all three accounts.

                "Go thou and do likewise" was not referring to getting arrested for assault with a dead weapon, lol! Read the rest of the sentence for context, dear.

                  Why, aren't you adorable? Not being the most learned of Biblical scholars, I can't tell you if there were a thousand years or a hundred between the events of the time period depicted in the book of Judges and the events depicted in the Gospel of Luke.


                  I can tell you that you could take any random verse from the Old Testament, such as, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth . . . (Genesis 1:1) and then tack on "Go thou and do likewise." (Luke 10:37) At this juncture, by your facile reasoning, we are not following the Word of the Lord because we aren't creating heaven and earth.


                  You are hardly treating the scriptures with any respect by playing a game of Bible Mad Libs. If you want to persecute us, have at it. But don't try any magic act misdirects with the Bible, little one. We will see through you every time.

                  Proverbs 24:7
                  Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.




                  Seems like you have already followed through on the whole "Go thou and do likewise" aspect of this nugget of scripture.
                  His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
