Even though, Ineptus means to be foolish (unlike Adeptus which has something to do with secrets, from what I have found) it sounds just as cool.

Anyway, I have to introduce and expose myself because I offended both the American Republican and the Demoncrat (see what you did there) LGBT agenda, despite no headlines of this.

I will not give away my name, I would prefer to be called Adeptus or Astartes - however seeing that I have had a forced name change you can also call me Ineptus. I am from the United Kingdom.

I have been to a few churches in my lifetime. During the time I was at school (2003-2015), we had a church assembly on every Tuesday at the Woodhouse Methodist Church every morning (although most of the assemblies we had were largely religious). As well as that I visit my smaller more local church at the Hawksworth Methodist Church whenever I can. Along with that I also have done a handful of marches for Armistice day and St. Georges day (You wouldn't care about St. George I would think) which also involved about 2 hours inside a church.

My favourite verse? I haven't put too much time into that. How about I say I like all of them indifferently, is that okay?

My path to Jesus, well my family are not particularly religious, but my school had made me religious when I left two years ago.

I hope I posted this is in the right place and I hope every one got home safely last night, it was a sad night for poor little Britain.

Now the moment I read that, I knew you were a Brit and probably some species of northerner. Educational standards have slipped to a shocking degree, haven't they? Children aren't taught to use a dictionary, and sadly very few homes even contain a comprehensive Latin grammar these days. Adeptus is the past participle of the verb adipiscor. You could probably have looked that up for yourself, but I have saved you the bother. It is a deponent verb, which is mildly interesting if that is the sort of thing you're interested in.

Hello, Miss or Mrs. Ineptus! I assume you are a female because a male would not be using a female goddess name. And I assume that you used the male adjective form because of your lack of familiarity with Latin.


May I ask, why are you so fixed on the Akkadian/Babylonian goddess Ishtar, and especially on the Hellenized version of her name? I admit, she had balls, but her Sumerian predecessor Inanna was way cooler. Like, badass extreme feminist cool.

Is this a general instruction? Because if so, please be aware that it is not your place to tell us what we may and may not do. You are a guest here and do not get to dictate the rules.


If it was a more specific response to something I said, I'd be curious to know what you consider to be an "argument". I have very little interest in British politics, except insofar as it affects relations with the United States, and even less interest in "saints", particularly mythical ones.

It would be quite surprising if you did, as O-levels were replaced by GCSEs before you were born. But it is not too late to study the language. I think you would find it quite interesting - my boys love it!


So tell us, are you now at college? Are you studying theology?

The part of your name I was referring to was not changed. As I stated before, but maybe was not clear enough, Babylonian goddess Ishtar was venerated by Greeks as Astarte.
