So, I'm new to the whole shebang that is faith in religion in general.

My previous faith was in mathematics. I found truth in quantifying the world set before us by an unknown greater being, in whom I've now found faith as the Christian God. My previous occupation was that of an artist, specifically that of a pornographer. The subject matter was continually graphic, sinful, and I bashfully admit that I took pride in at least the skill I had developed over the years of doing so.


I'm now looking for redemption. I've taken up craft work and volunteering at my local church, painting pieces and, last Christmas season, designing nativity scenes for both my neighbor's lawns and the sanctuary of my church. I wonder what ever may be enough to compensate of the sins of my youth, as I've taken an interest in sharing the word of God. I fear I'll feel guilty forever.

The link between math and porn is well established. Both are four letter words and both contain a single vowel. And studies have shown that the fiendish field of mathematics produces more atheists than any other branch of science. Furthermore, to embrace math is to deny the infallibility of the Bible, as mathmaniacs must deny that pi=3 as mentioned in 1 Kings 7:23. Once you start down the slippery slope of denying a single piece of scripture, this leaves the door wide open for Satan to walk in, and before you know it your closet is filled with the porn. Titles like Asian All Stars, Wok on the Wildside, Slant Eye For the Straight Guy, Asian Persuasion, and Wong Way Hone will soon fill your hard drive.


But even still there is hope. By putting aside advanced calculus and turning to advanced Christianity, you may still find your way through the gates of heaven. Through accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior, hours of daily prayer, attending and especially tithing generously tp a True Christian church, heaven is still a statistical probability in your future. Glory!

1. You say you regret your involvement with pornography and you want to be a Christian, but you haven't articulated for us your reasons for feeling this way. Could you elaborate? Were there specific Bible verses that convinced you of the need for salvation?

It is impossible to gain salvation and freedom through the works of our own hands. If that were possible, then God wouldn't have needed to send Jesus to die for us. It says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." All you gotta do is accept and declare that Jesus is Lord over your life. Just believe in him. Once you accept him, you will be free forever because, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" (John 8:36). Even in John 1:12 it reads,"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." God has given you the power to become his child, and he loves his children. 1 Corinthians 12:4-5 reads, "Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil". God does not have evil thoughts of you OP; he loves you very much. I hope you've felt encouraged!

I heard of a person once (I think her name was Crystal Bassette) who was a porn star and then became a pastor, but that really doesn't count since women can't really be pastors.


Lots of women pastors would dispute that statement, but they would be wrong since I am a True Christian(TM) man and I know the Bible. There are groups on the Interwebs for pastors who struggle with porn (not sure how you struggle with it; you either enjoy it or you don't). I know I have never had a problem with smut, since the Blood of Jesus covers my wrongdoings and removes those desires from me if I pray to Him, and I sometimes do.


Bottom line: Get on your knees and pray for His forgiveness. He will forgive (1 John 1:9) and then stop watching porn. It's really that simple. Just ask almost any of the men on this forum. At one time all of them were entangled in the web of lust. Some were even entangled in the locked hutch of homosekshulality, groaning and moaning to the sights of nude and naked unclothed men. Disgusting.

Well, dear, a cautious to you! God always welcomes a repentant sinner, be it male (Luke 15:20) or female (John 8:11). However, the Road to Salvation™ ain't easy (Matthew 7:13-14).

If you really want to be Saved™, you should start by reading the Holy Bible.



Then you have to reject everything that science says but is contradicted by the Bible. (Such as the pi issue mentioned by Brother Des; God frowns upon adding fractions to the perfect number 3).

That is an excellent point, Sister! It seems that God doesn't care for fractions in general. Afterall, He is against mixed marriages, so the children cannot be half of one thing and half of another. He doesn't allow for any instance of being "partly saved"; you either are or are not. The only time that things are divided up in the Bible is when God wipes out a third of things in Revelation and then comes back later for a second helping of thirds. (If you catch my drift. )

Math is is an important skill to have and has no connection to porn. Send me links to said studies please. You also apparently have no respect for the amount of mathematics you use in your daily life. Go to the store MATH, drive across a bridge MATH is keeping your car from crashing through it. Engineers need to calculate how much materials to use for said bridge using CALCULUS. You obviously are a kindergarten dropout, because you think pi is 3. (3.1415926535897932384626433) in biblical times they did not have the equipment to measure pi more accurately. Also it never says pi is 3. Here is your quoted bible verse:

The short answer in my opinion is yes. Through faith and by repenting for your sins can you be saved. However if you continue your sinful homosexual ways you will surely burn in hell for eternity.
