Why is that? The Bible explains:

What do you wish to accomplish by having people read your pages? You're high on ERV's, OK. What's the point? You focus on these fragments in the DNA. If we look at the natural world and only at the natural world, we don't need ERV's to come to the conclusion of evolution. We are equally well aware of the other stuff that the naturalists present. Evolutionary theory is practically as strong without the ERV's, as it would be without them. You don't need them to prove it in the atheist context. You have many other things as follows (you can find the original publications from databases, I have and I did):

• Human chromosome 2 has telomers in its middle and its sequences derive from the simian chromosomes 4 and 19.
• Fixed mutations from the common ancestor of chimps and humans is around 350, feasible with the secularist time frame.
• The fossil record shows the development of limbs from fins and of ossicles from reptilian dentate and quadrate.
• The presence of proto-feathers on dinosaurs and the Deinonychus wrist are very avian.
• The molecular clock in good sync with the fossil record regarding the divergence of amphibians, mammals and various mammalian clades.
• Mesohippus, Ambulocetus, Tiktaalik, Hallucigenia, yeasts becoming multicellular in a few months, multicellularity not requiring new genes but just recruitment, placenta evolution likewise, Darwin's finches speciating, genetic fossils in RNA capable of catalysis less effectively than present ones but well enough, complex organic molecules in comets, pentose phosphate pathway arising spontaneously in a laboratory, robust simple reaction paths to cosmic molecules into RNA, etc., etc., etc...

We know all of that. We know about your ERV's. Your ERV's are a drop in the ocean. Your FAQ's are just an indication of hubris: "I'll be the one to turn their minds with this one tiny detail that they haven't investigated, because they are stupid and I am wise..." (see also Matthew 23:12):

• You just cannot help belittling people who disagree with you, can you? Even if my head was buried within my rectum, I might still be right. The quality of a claim is not measured by the characteristics of the person making the claim but by its content.
• You might have some (from the naturalistic viewpoint) high-quality material but probably not as well formulated as the original publications. Or perhaps you were actually involved in genomic research? If you were, the original peer-reviewed papers would still be the ones to assess. I do not think that your popularized versions would yield anything more substantial.

You're assuming that people of faith are inferior to you. Yes, I can claim that based on your demeanor and your ad hominem attitude. I am always praying and hoping that a real person of learning would be here. She would not have to use fallacious arguments of attacking the person, as her substance would be strong enough to hold on its own. As does the Bible. If you really want to make the best case possible, you're welcome to do that. Concentrate on your facts. Stop the insults. Stop the ad misericordiam fallacy of complaining about the nature of the Forum you've chosen to join.

And.

Try to get educated about the viewpoint of the opposition. Listen to their claims and arguments. Examine your own hypotheses: Would your material support other hypotheses than the one you've chosen to support? See the theory of evolution in a wider context if you wish to defend it. As I stated earlier, only because we have the Bible do we have to discard evolution, as in the secular world it is solid and well-supported. Try to understand that the evidence material we cherish is not the same that you use. We follow the testimony of Jesus while you thrive on laboratory measurements.

It is not too late for you to gain that knowledge. We are not afraid. Be a better adversary. Give us some actual challenge. Behave better and someone will actually listen to you. Perhaps. And don't respond to this with a tu quoque, please.

When this was pointed out you immediately claimed something different. Your second claim about viruses was in line with the link but I doubt that you have any awareness of that.

Further clarification of your sources can only come from the sources themselves. We all know what they say.—.including what they say about evolution.—.which is how we know they are false. Jesus did not understand about evolution and yet Jesus created the universe. Are you saying that Jesus is ignorant? Well you probably are so I'll go on to my next question. If you bought a helicopter and took your mother out for a demonstration would you read the manufacturer's information or not?

It may have escaped your notice that Morlocks are a future species and since Weena does not look like a chimpanzee I suppose in your analogy they are supposed to be the beast species. The thing is that when your light goes out all that remains is darkness. In reality there's no equivalent of finding your time machine and going home. God has told us where humans come from, how the male and the female were created, how we descended into the dark abyss of sin and how we may be rescued. The humans to be resurrected first, Christians, will not be some virus infected specimens as you are claiming. Perhaps the others who get resurrected later will be contaminated, I don't know, but we will be made new in Christ. Your self-refuting claims deny this unchanging fact, a fact of life made clear for us in The Bible.

I created this page especially for the hard of understanding Adapted from Wikipedia: "By the year AD 802,701, humanity has evolved into two separate species: the Eloi and the Morlocks. The Eloi live a life of ease on the surface, while the Morlocks live underground, tending machinery and providing for the Eloi. How would we prove that the Eloi and the Morlocks had indeed both descended from modern humans? Well, we have signatures in our DNA that were written by retroviruses. They put their DNA into the DNA of our cells to "fool" them into making new retroviruses. Sometimes, a retrovirus puts its DNA into the DNA of an egg or sperm cell. When this happens, it becomes heritable - you can inherit it from your parents and pass it down to your offspring. These heritable bits of viral DNA are called ERVs - Endogenous RetroViruses. The signature of any endogenous retrovirus is that it can be found in exactly the same place in the DNA of every single one of your nuclear cells (every cell with a nucleus - which is most of them). In contrast, the viral DNA that you have acquired from viruses in the environment is not present in all of your nuclear cells, and in those where it is present, the viral DNA ends up in different points in your DNA, comparing one infected cell with another.

To recap:

Viral DNA in the same place in the DNA of every cell means that it is inherited. Viral DNA in different places in only some of your cells means that you have caught a virus from the environment. Now if we find that all the Eloi have the same viral DNA as us, in every cell, in exactly the same places as us, we know that they must have inherited it from us, and therefore we are their ancestors. The same goes for the Morlocks. The same viral DNA in the same places in every cell means that the Morlocks also descend from us. Note that we do not even need to look at our own DNA! If we find the same viral DNA in the same places in every cell of every Eloi and Morlock, they have to have had common ancestors from which they inherited it (us!). Bear this in mind when the ERV FAQ mentions, not Eloi and Morlocks, but humans and chimpanzees!
