  • Hello Wise Christians

I am a young wife that has recently been led to God by my husband. Sadly, I was raised in a home that was far from good Baptist parenting and was only recently rescued by my loving husband. I found Jesus through him and I have him to thank that I am not Godless and rotting in hell. I am currently studying the Bible everyday in every spare moment that I have and am trying to become a better wife. I have a lot to learn if I want to please my Husband and God and not end up in hell. I would appreciate any advice that I can get concerning marriage, child rearing and how to look and act like a good Christian wife. As for Church, I attend the Church my Husband attends, which is a small but very strict Baptist Church in South Carolina.
My favorite Bible Verse is Ephesians 5: 22-24.
That's really all that I have to say right now. I hope that I can learn a lot from all of you and become a better Christian.

Hello GWM, nice to meet you.

      Are you always this talkative?

Good gravey, but you sure do like to talk.

Maybe a little more about how many fine, clean limbed young youths you have played some role into birthing?

Exactly how proud have you made your husband of his eager
-for-salvation, guidance and a firm manly hand on them Christian sons?

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Hi .. God has provided a wife for your husband and I would remind other readers..obviously I'm not going to advise your owner what to do..that there is a correct line of communication explained and defined by God as follows:
          I CORINTHIANS 14
33 God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

Often people claim that this related to social standards of the time or that it was an opinion of Paul's. And yes, Paul does include some of his own ideas and/or suggestions but when he does so he always states right up front that this what he's doing. There are also references to foibles which although not edifying, God was prepared to overlook. What we have here is not like that. It is a commandment.

I am always happy to post Scripture and in this case to encourage someone on the path her husband has chosen for her with a passage I trust will be helpful.

Welcome young lady. How many sons has God seem fit to express from your tender, supple loins?
Please have your husband come on to the forum so a meaningful, worthwhile conversation may take place.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Does your husband know you’re on the Internet? My husband is behind me as I type his words and as he in turn stripes my back. God be praised.

                Sister GWM,

I'm a little sad that you haven't explored our forums a bit more. Salvation(R) is assured through Landover Baptist Church and you are but a nattering, niggling woman without any chance for magnifying the Name of the Lord without assistance. I am sure your husband is trying, but gosh, girl (forgive my profanity), give the guy a break. Let experts in the faith guide you on your journey to Heaven, won't you?

                Sister Eucharista:

What a blessing for you to encourage your fellow sister in Christ and what a loving spirit you are displaying. May your days be filled with strictly administered discipline in the LORD at the hands of your man.

                BrotherLarry
Revelation 22:12 (I patiently await my LORD!)
                Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
                Amen and Amen

I wasn't sure what "lort" meant so I looked it up. Apparently, it is an acronym for League of Resident Theatres. That makes no sense. Why would our Lord and Saviour be interested in resident theaters?
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

You seem to have some real spelling difficulties going on there. I should point out that The New Testament was written in Greek and that Jesus would not appreciate having His name altered into the tongue of vipers. He was particularly critical of those groups, you will recall.

In the Greek text, on occasions, words from other languages are included. Transliterated, as we'd say now. "Jesus" is not one of those words and since His name is central to the message you can be sure that if it was something else the authors would have informed us.
