  • Hi

I am a new member of this forum, I was raised a Baptist from birth. However, I wasn't religious for a 8 year period. I have a daughter from a previous relationship and her father is a Mormon, my daughter is 14 and wants to get baptised in the Mormon church not the Baptist church my husband and I attend.

    1) I need advice on how to punish her
    2) I need advice on convincing her it is correct to be a Baptist and incorrect to be a Mormon

    Thanks

    Re: Hi

    Danny,

I can feel your spiritual frustration - and what man wouldn't be frustrated if your significant other had an 8 year period? Did she remain in the menstra-hut the entire time? I hope so, or the cleansing ritual from that experience will be horrendous.

As the man of the house, discipline should be the first thing you learn to administer. It's pretty simple, actually. But have you read the Bible? Do you trust in its precepts? Do you wave it high and shout to the Lord in thanksgiving for its guidelines?

Some forms of discipline that will be helpful in your case:

    1. Deprivation of freedoms
    2. Spankings
    3. Face slapping
    4. Dark room therapies
    5. Shunning

As far as dealing with the Baptist v. Mormon thing: Aren't you the head of household? Just forbid her to associate with mormons and use discipline if there is any lack of obedience. A very loud "YOU WILL BE A BAPTIST OR YOU WILL DIE AND GO TO HELL," accompanied by the physical discipline the Bible speaks of will surely suffice.

Happy to help - and I'm sure others will join me in assisting you!

I have 2 verses I find inspiring but one that has stuck with me my whole life is Psalm 30:5 King James Version (KJV)

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

That is a beautiful verse indeed. Especially in the context of this one:

          2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

If a Lord's day can be as long as a thousand years for the humans, how long can a "moment" be?

Fourteen, you say? That is such an impressionable age.

Say, perhaps I should take your daughter under my wing?

She needs Godly friends who still set good examples for her.

Haha I knew this place was funny but seriously a man administering discipline to a 14 year old using physical violence. That is too far.

What do you mean, dear? Beating the sin out of children is recommended by God in the Holy Bible:

Proverbs 20:30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

Do you find the Word of God to be "funny"? In this case, enjoy Hell, atheist fool!

Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Maybe for Lucifer, who wants parents to feel guilty for setting limits, disciplining their children, and being white. But it's not too far for God. Why, He has a built-in safety hatch for protection of True Christian™ families:
Withhold not correction from the child:
for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

No, sweetie. This is the site where we True Christians(tm) teach others about the wonderful contents of the Holy Bible, and where atheists come to troll us.

We shall have the last laugh, though, when all of you trolls burn in Hell forever.

                            Dear Mr. Star,

Trolls live under bridges, at least that is what I have been told. None of the Good People of Landover live under bridges ergo they are not Trolls.

Now onto more important matters. Your child obviously needs severe disciplining and this is allowable as long as you adhere to the guidelines given by God in His Book, the Holy Bible (KJV 1611).

Proverbs 13:24 - He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Proverbs 22:15 - Foolishness [is] bound in the heart of a child; [but] the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Proverbs 29:17 - Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

Ephesians 6:4 - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord

These are just 4 examples, there are many, many more, but I will let you find them yourself. Also, bear in mind that the punishment must also be in line with local and national laws in your country.

Always remember that YOU are responsible for how your child is raised:

Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Another thing. You say your daughter is 14? My question is, why is she not yet married to a Good Christian man and ensuring that the world is populated with more Soldiers for Christ? Just make sure you do not allow her to marry a darky or someone who is not white.

                            Leviticus 19:19
Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

                            It's not my suggestion, it's God's.

                            YIC

PS. I happen to have an upright and God fearing son of marriageable age.
                            Isaiah 66:15

For behold, the Lord wil come with fire, and with his charets like a whirlewinde, to render his anger with furie, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
