Hello, my name is Chastity Metlach, I am 18 today. I currently don’t go to church (even though I really want to). I don’t know which to pick. I don’t have a very religious background. My grandmother used to take me to a baptist church when I was a little girl, then she moved away and I wasn’t able to go back. I joined bible study in high school, but I recently graduated and even though I want to join a church, I need guidance to chose the right one. I am worried about my salvation, and I don’t want to make the wrong choice. I have recently began reading the Bible again, so please forgive me for not having a favorite verse yet.

Hi .. welcome to the forum. A Baptist Church is the right choice but it's important to be aware that some places calling themselves "Baptist" do not follow the teachings of Jesus.

I'm so glad that you're reading The Bible again. There are so many modernist interpretations out there leading to error and it's best to stick with the KJV which you can start reading here:

God is very clear in what He's made available for us. People who dream up ideas of their own and pretend they're God's ideas, even when the ideas contradict God, are not Christians. By comparing what any Church teaches with The Bible it's pretty easy to distinguish which ones are false. The presence of idols is a sure giveaway for example, no matter what explanation is offered to you.

Hello and to our friendly forum! I will pray that you find a God-fearing Baptist church in your area. While I understand that you don't have a favorite verse from the whole Bible yet, I'm sure you have some favorite verse in the part of the Bible you have read so far?
