Greetings, Mr. Postings, and to , at . It appears that your "active imagination" has somehow or another caused you to bypass part of our cordial request at the top of our Introduction Forum page, which is:

Attention Unsaved Trash: Tell us what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.

You will find that we are a no-nonsense group of believers in the . We do not sugar-coat the Truth, which is that you deserve to burn in for all of eternity, unless you repent of your disgusting, sickening, horrible sins.

So, where's that post that Sister Isabella so politely requested? I hope you're not going to ignore it and leave us wondering about you.

That's what I'd like to know, dear Sister Esther! Goodness, gracious me. I even used some of my prettiest stationery and lettering to welcome this Mr. Postings person, and now where is he? I hope he doesn't think that we're going to humor him if he's just trolling us. Actually, I suspect he may have felt "caught out" when his motives were questioned by our beloved Sister Basilissa!

A blessed evening to you, dear Sister Esther,

I really have to wonder if people think they can join a group of Christians, make a few half hearted posts giving oral lip service to God and they then think they have a Golden Ticket™ to Heaven after God sucks the life from their worthless carcass.
It takes work and tireless commitment to Christ day in and day out, every single day for a lifetime and even then, there is no guarantee of a shot on the Right Hand of God.
I can just see these people sitting at the interview table on Judgement Day®, the thick file in front of them, an ex-DMV clerk going through it. Stamping pages with a stamped with red ink. "Tsk-tsk-tsk" and shaking their head. The hopeful applicant begging for reconsideration, pointing out all the half assed effort made to appease Jesus. Security showing up, grabbing the poor sap by the arms and tossing them in to the meat grinder chute to Hell.
No one thinks it will happen to them. Until it does.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

It's not about "imagination"; it's about obedience. It's about God and God's Word, Who is Christ.

                John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Do you love and obey Jesus in all things? And with your whole being? Then you will joyfully read the entire Bible and follow its (His) instructions in all ways at all times.

The only real question is: Are you in, or are you out?
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Hello .. I'm not sure what sposting is, evidently a group activity but please don't bother to enlighten me. In your post about Wroclaw, which Basilissa has already responded to, there is an important point you've overlooked. Others have commented on the catholic idol so I don't need to point that out again. What's missing in your assessment is God's perspective.
Exodus 34:14-17 Thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; and thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

God tells us about idols and makes sure we understand that making them is just as bad as genuflecting in their vicinity or outright grovelling on the floor in front of one. It is the most robust theme throughout The Bible: idolatry is whoredom.

For the sake of anyone reading who thinks "Oh, I'm ok then, my idol was not cast from molten metal but carved from wood," or who even considers a tiny Jesus statue not to be an idol at all, I'd encourage you to read The Bible where what constitutes an idol is very well covered. All materials are prohibited. All methods of manufacture are prohibited. All subject matter is prohibited.

What constitutes idolatry is also explained. It doesn't matter which words are used, worship, venerate, adore, used as a focal point in contemplation, made to represent an abstract concept, it's all the same to God. Just making one is idolatry and idolatry AS DEFINED IN THE BIBLE is itself whoredom whether or not actual orgies are conducted. Indeed some idols include perpetual chastity as a sacrament but those virgins are seen by God as going a-whoring (regardless of their physical condition) because.of.the.idol.

It would probably be better for you to focus on Scripture explaining what we should do however (rather than Biblical prohibitions) when choosing a verse to post here. So a cautious welcome just in case sposting is as bad as I think it is.
