    By the way, Satan gets to keep most of the souls created by God, because of a rule created by God as He tell us in the Bible. God creates evil, so it is not surprising he has created Satanism as well.

    Next time you want to shock us, think a little bit more, Bernie. We have read that a brother had to rape his sister in law after his brother died, ordered by God and punished for not doing so, and we are ok with it. We could kill our children if God told us so and that wasn't against the law (because God also tells us to abide the law) We could kill an enemy population including pregnant women, children and old people at God's orders. We could kill a person for being gay, and will not matter that God himself created gay and then forbade being gay. God tell us to abide the law, so we refrain from doing all the other things the Bible says, but a Biblical government is possible. Hey, would you had bet on a Trump presidency 10 years ago? What if the Bible becomes the rule? How many people in your country, village or whatever will agree with that? It is more than you think. Biblical law is stricter than the Sharia, and we and tons of groups like us fight for it every day.

If "god" really wrote it, he should perhaps release a modern version, as this one seems highly archaic on several levels, which will eventually mean bad business. Until then, I'll stick with other, more contemporary influential fantasy titles such as "The Lord of the Rings", which has a slightly higher score on goodreads.com, so I can only recommend.

    And what makes you think I intend to shock, my friend? I admit, scaring god-fearing, bible-thumping Christians with spooky occult symbolism and ungodly, satanic fashion choices can be quite entertaining, but only for so long.

    Perhaps I am just another lost sheep that needs to find its way back to the others, here because something deep inside told it to seek out the true path.

    If god told you that, it would make him a massive hypocrite. And hypocrisy is a human trait. After all, god does not do mistakes, no?
    Thus, shouldn't a true biblical society be peaceful? After all, murder is completely against what the Bible directs, and let's not forget: "Honor men of all sorts", 1 Peter 2:17

    And well, many would describe Trump as more "demonic" than anything. He certainly isn't abiding god's word that well at all. And no, you are completely right, I did underestimate the extent of USA's stupidity those years ago.

        Just think about it:

        1) The fight between the Good and Evil,
        2) Evil related to what Christianity sees as sins,
        3) Good=creation, evil=destruction,
        4) Longing for return of the king (= Second Coming of Christ),
        5) Main heroes of the story suffering and sacrificing themselves for the greater good,
        6) Rejection of relativism - there's right and wrong and nothing in between.

        Now, unfortunately, Tolkien was a devout Catholic, so there is some Catholic propaganda woven into it as well.

Though you gotta admit, those basic aspects of the story are extremely common and surely, the Christians were not the first ones coming up with it. So let's not reach too deep here, yes? Anything can be a biblical allegory if you're looking at it through christ-coloured glasses.

            Though I'm glad you (assumingly) had the courage to read some of Tolkien's works, at least. Very brave considering many Christians used to hate and attempt to ban it due to the spooky sorcery and demonic creatures or whatever. If so, your taste in literature is at least salvageable.


            And here I thought negative mayhem/chaos was a staple trait of the Devil? So the bible is a big pick-and-choose of what you abide and what you ignore, then? What happened to "Thou shalt not kill" and "Respect all men"?

                Oh, so you haven't read the Bible. I mean, it is very basic knowledge that Christian morals are "Thou shalt not kill unless God commands you to" and "Respect all men except those who God does not want you to respect". And so on and so forth, I guess you get the idea.


                Peaceful, the people of God? You are of the ones who think Jesus was a sort of hippie communist giving to the poor. That happens when you do not actually read the Bible.


                And God is sure about what He wants: complete and total obedience. Praise Him all day long, do what He commands, and you are ok. Even if what He commands is against logic, morals or ethics. (disclaimer: BUT NO IF IT'S AGAINST THE LAW)

                  A cautious welcome to you. I always found that Jesus is someone you should fear and respect. This has been taught at an early age in schools here in the south. I would urge you to find Jesus as soon as possible. John 3:16 says we are rewarded for being faithful Christians after we die. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

                  The alternative is what you’re heading towards unless you are making drastic changes to reverse your path, especially as a transgender according to Deuteronomy 22:5. The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God. I will be praying that you peruse the forums and read The Bible so that you can be saved some day. The wonderful people I talk to at Landover Baptist Church inspire me every day to be a better Christian and I am sure the same effect may be had to you if you open your heart to Jesus.

Both our leadership and rank and file members have written reems of posts pointing out the need to read and obey the whole Bible. In fact, people actually despise us for our uncompromising stand on the subject.

                        Do not judge book by its covers, dear. How can you proclaim with any degree of certainty that Tolkien is better than the Bible, if you haven't read the latter?

                        While I admit that parts of the Bible are a bit dry (especially the genealogies), there are a lot of parts with some great action. Battles (just don't think too much about iron chariots, Judges 1:19), sieges (Joshua 6), slavery (including captive sex slaves, Deuteronomy 21:10-17), genocide (Exodus 17:14-15), rape (including rape of own sister, 2 Samuel 13), human sacrifice (Judges 11:30-31, 34, 39-40), crushing babies' heads into rocks (Psalm 137:9), pimping own wife/sister out to the Pharaoh (Genesis 12:11-16), a few role model prostitutes (such as Rahab, Joshua 6:17), and much, much more! Bible is much more interesting, gory, and scandalous than you seem to believe!

                          It's amazing after so many years on the Internet that we plain folks in the Landover community can still be shocked, shocked I tell you at the blasphemy of the wicked. No-one has said anything as shocking to us on these sacred forums until you arrived. You are truly devastaing to our forum - and yet - you are not even trying, really. I surely would not wish to provoke such a person to even try really. God help us!

                                Dear Miss JJ: I do hope that you realize there is a difference between trying and doing. People can say that they try to do their best, but if all they can manage is a half-hearted attempt, then the chances are great that they shall fail to do that which they say they are trying to do. I think you will see that this requires a bit more than just trying. It takes determination and great resolve to actually commit to doing one's best. And this is very plainly explained within the blessed pages of the :

                                And, what else would our beloved expect of us?

                                Now, imagine, if you will, just how horrible it would have been for the world if had "tried" to save mankind from their sins but, instead, became distracted and wasted his time by constantly whittling useless gadgets in carpentry shop. I think you can see the importance of accomplishment in dying on a cross and providing the blessed that is required to wash us from our sins so that we can avoid spending eternity in . And trying not to sin and failing to do so will only land you in the very that the managed to conquer.

                                Revelation 1:18 " I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
