    Introduction

    Greetings everyone,

My name is James. I'm 34, a strong conservative, and a deeply committed Baptist. I grew up in a rather backwards household. One which denounced GOD, Religion of all kinds, Conservative values, traditional family values and gender roles. Needless to say it was not a good way to grow up. I was lucky, that I was able to find my way in my early teens with the help of some friends I made and their Fathers. It was at the end of 8th grade, at a friends house, while his Father led the family in prayer before a meal, that I felt the power of Christ and the glory of God. We were outside, big trees all around in the back yard, and a power and warmth that I find hard to describe feel upon me. All I can say is that it changed my life forever. This soon led me down the path of faith, and the Baptist tradition. Been of strong faith and conviction since. And on a better more fulling path.

Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

I hope to be an active and positive member of this community. I look forward to chatting with many of you.

        Re: Introduction

James, my dear, do you have a wife? Not asking for myself, of course. The Lord shut down my womb long ago. But Sister Joanna has a daughter who is on the cusp, as they say. A twenty year age difference between a husband and wife is actually a good thing. Younger husbands can be more easily swayed by their powerful needs and tend to give in to their pretty, pouty wives. A more seasoned fellow can wait out their moods, if you know what I mean.

Hannah is in fact only just 12, and young for her age, Praise Jesus! I hope and pray with complete certainty that, when the time comes, we can do better for her than someone who grew up backward and speaks of "gender" roles and "fulling" paths, whatever they may be.

But a warm welcome to the forums, James. I very much hope that someone here will be able to help you in some as yet unspecified way.

It makes my bosom swell with True Christian pride to picture a mother protecting her young like Mama Grizzly herself shooting wolves out of a helicopter.

Hello handmaiden, thank you for the message. I am in fact unmarried at this time, but I am in a good place spiritually, emotionally and financially, and feel quite ready and eager to find and mary a proper Christian woman. Please, feel free to suggest other possible candidates in the future.

Greetings Joanna Lytton-Vasey, thank you as well for the warm welcome to the community. I hope that we can connect and learn from one another. Also, while the time is not right for your daughter, I do hope that you and your Husband are open to considering me when that time does come.

That'd be a photoshop for the ages (once we figure out what kinda gun fires actual wolves as ammunition).

There is really no need to capitalize the word husband. But in answer to your hope, I suppose one may always hope. But I would recommend a more modest and less specific ambition. Romans 8:24-25
