One day I decided to read the bible, to prove myself that I am "openminded and progressive", what I discovered in that book changed my life, I accepted Jesus as my savior.

Welcome to our site. Please provide the sorts of specific details that we specifically requested. This would include where you go to church and which is your favorite Bible verse. Also, you need to write out actual words and not entries for the Urban Dictionary.

I like the San Francesco d'Assisi church in Turin (city of Italy). Why do I like it? It's a nice place where you can concentrate and study.

Welcome to the forum. I was curious, reading your intro., have you read any other religious texts? It's important to read The Bible so that we know if we're disagreeing with God.

Various dogmatic positions have emerged from other sources, all very concerning. Idol manufacture is one idea "oh but we don't worship them" and because they don't know what God actually commanded, they don't get it, that God said not to make them whether you worship them or not. Obviously if there aren't any idols manufactured in the first place, nobody can worship one even if they want to.

Other temple cults have other ways to mock God, I won't describe them but they involve various activities. Judges contains some examples..

That quote isn't even the right one. It's "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."


There's no "when" going on. That implies other stuff was happening that the KJV does not specify.

Genesis is indeed an excellent book. So much to love there - gender inequality (Genesis 3:16), racial/ethnic inequalities (Genesis 9:21-26), social inequalities (Genesis 25:23-25), drowning kittens and babies (Genesis 6:13-17), killing pregnant women (Genesis 38:24), endogamy (Genesis 24:37-38, 28:1), directions on how to pimp out your own sister, who also happens to be your wife (Genesis 12:11-16, 20:11-12), etc, etc.

I hope you will finish reading Genesis soon so that we can discuss Exodus next. No spoilers, but there are some really juicy parts regarding the proper treatment of your sex slaves!

Awesome - keep reading the Bible, then. For your particular interests, you will find Exodus and Leviticus most relevant.

However, if you wish to put the Biblical laws on slavery into practice, you should consider moving to a jurisdiction where owning humans is legal, as the Bible requires us to obey secular laws:

@ERvengeanceDDR5 - How do you think the introduction thread's going? Several responses and one or two points have come up which I'll address in no particular order.

• Your reference sounds a bit like Genesis 2:4 which is a very interesting chapter.

• Ideal for understanding Exodus, Leviticus, Judges and the epistles of Peter.

• So-called IQ tests enable the aptitude of groups to be assessed. Two groups (of 100, say) would be given a range of tests and the results would indicate which group would be better suited to which responsibilities (in an office, on a submarine, designing clothes, keeping books, etc.) but for individuals the results are pretty meaningless. Too many variables.

• I had a look at the CHIESA DI SAN FRANCESCO D'ASSISI. There seem to be a lot of idols. Have I got the right place? It's in San Francesco d'Assisi Street, Turin. They seem to imagine God as a bird generating lightning somehow.

You seem to have forgotten to post the Bible verses that prove your argument. That is a thing on this forum if you want to be taken serious as a Christian. I am sure there are plenty of references to the daughters of Canaan or the daughters of the Canaanites in the Bible, even in Genesis that you seem to have read.

Well, you did manage to mess that verse up too but never mind, I am sure you will manage to complete your post.
