    Re: Hello from England.

    1. I am rewarded on Earth for what I do for myself.
    2. It is my duty to take care of myself and my family - I, in my mind, owe nothing to the Church, except, perhaps, for showing me that I don't need them.
    3. Oh, contrare. I get to pick my morals and the way I live - I haven't been "smote" by God yet - In fact, I'm a pretty lucky guy. Everything just happens to go my way in most situations. If I didn't get to pick my morals, then I'm not who I am.
    4. Hey, everyone has secrets. Who says I'm still "doing" my secret? I could have done it many years ago, and never again. And also, I wouldn't have a secret if I stopped doing it.

      Re: Hello from England.

I can’t understand this. You wake up in the morning (or in the case of GMT, in the middle of the night) and you look around you and you see God’s Holy Creation and you deny the creator? Son, I know you're English and thus probably inbred – islands aren’t healthy places – but why, in the face of such overwhelming evidence, do you fail to believe?

        Re: Hello from England.

You know, being English and all does mean that I might just be related to you - In some far off, wild, crazy manner, as without us you wouldn't be in America in the first place.

And you follow the KJV bible, which was printed in Britain, may I remind you - And we do have the title "Great" Britain for a reason, you know.

Without Britain you wouldn't exist, give your relatives a bit of respect, you know? If we're inbred, relatives are normally inbred too, so perhaps we could have an inbred union some time?

Oh yes, that's right Christopher Columbus was English wasn't he?

No, you may not - any more of this impudence and you'll receive an infraction or two.

Yes, I believe it is a misspelling of 'Grate' - the part of the fire wherein all the rubbish falls

The Bathfires would have been successful (thanks to God) regardless of where they were.

            Re: Hello from England.

England started the first mass-colonisation of North America. We had 13 colonies to begin with, and eventually you revolted over taxes, and the French (Remember how you refer to those "frogs" as "homers"?) helped you - Without the French, your rebellion would have been crushed with Britains superior Navy and firepower - The French you have just bad-mouthed helped you, and without them England would remain in control of you.

Christopher Columbus may not have been English, but he never mass-colonised North America. England did that, with a few other European countries having a few, small, colonies on America.

This changes nothing. The French are garlic smelling surrender monkeys. As I remember it, Britain was busy oppressing other free nations and this is the reason why Lord North gave up on the idea of George III continuing as a tyrant.

…with people who did not want to be English (very understandable)

Excuse me? I did not use Google. Why would I? You jump to conclusions, and you dislike the people that made you what you are.

You even got that line "The French are garlic smelling surrender monkeys" from the Simpsons - How very typical.

Perhaps you could say something interesting and not as insulting, for me to dabate in an interesting manner with you. If all I get is insults and irrelavent subjects posted here, how can I say something interesting?

And perhaps you can tell me "how" I'm "playing" at being intellectual, before you start criticising me. In fact, I think that you were "playing" at being smart then, failing at that rather miserably too.

May I suggest that you do the same, I think you'll find that you'll find a few pretty lights to play with whilst "God" is contemplating when the next lorry should hit you - Or perhaps one of those drivers just doesn't see you.

                          -

Oh, and I do find it quite amusing that you've changed my name - Not a good way to win an argument fairly, is it? You have certain powers on these forums, and in my eye you are abusing them in an unfair way. In what way does my name being changed help you argue your point in any way?
