    Hello Isabella

Nastassia Kinski? She hasn't done too badly for herself, considering who her father was. *shudders* I'd post a photo of him here, but I'm fairly certain it would get me banned for introducing horrific demon icons to the Board.......

Apologies again. I really am more interested in things other than scholarly pursuits. Such as the aforementioned pasta, and tiramisu, and gentlemenfolk.
I can hardly understand a word you are saying my dear.
Can we talk about Pie making and other recipes like normal Christian Women please?

      Welcome anyway

        Thanks, Talitha.

I think you and I have a LOT to talk about. For example, two things that have a reputation for being fussy -- baklava and custard napoleons -- do you know how easy they can be? And, I hope I can be shown how to improve my meat roasting; except for the sausages I put in my lasagnas, and the chicken salad I make with barbecued chicken, I just really need to work on my meats.

Is there a separate thread for us all to discuss these matters?? I'll go look........

            Hi Sister,

To be honest, I'm not sure whether Lutheran ordination committees concern themselves with the sexuality of the candidates , but I do know that all of the Lutheran, Wesleyan and Methodist ministers I've ever met have been married and have had children. The pastor who married us had ministered in our church for many years, since I was a young child, actually, and was very kind and pious.

The women and men in my family were very much partners in their marriages, and I don't think the men would have had it any other way. That way, on most occasions at least one person or another is being sensible.

I suspect Adam felt the same way, right before the events of Genesis 3 when he let Eve wander away on her own.

Well, that right there is horrifically un-biblical! I knew Lutherans are false "Christians", but they're a cult made up of bulldyke feminazis and effeminate sodomites too!?!?

You speak of cooking vile french foods, talk like a lesbian, and now shun Biblical traditions of marriage? Perhaps the Lutherans and their sodomite "pastors" have had a more significant impact on your life than you know.

                        Isabella,
Reading your posts has produced in me two visceral emotions. The first is joy at seeing bright, attractive young woman, who knows the English language fully, come to our forum without bringing a huge load of liberal baggage. The second is hunger.

I have fallen in love with genuine Italian cuisine during my travels in Italy as a missionary to Roman Catholics many years ago. If it weren't for Roman Catholicism, Italy might be a great place to live. Perhaps you could share with us one of your favorite pasta recipes. I have a few of my own that I have my wives cook up from time to time, and it always brings me back to those heady days of doing battle with priests over the souls of their minions.

                        In Christ,
                        Warren

Ah, Pastor. Couldn't things just as easily have gone the other way, gender-wise?

If the chain of events is followed from a "blame-free" perspective, we see that evil was introduced into the lives of humans, that they ignored a sense of consequence, and that they were soundly punished for their indiscretion for all eternity. Temptation, conscience and respect to our collective moral compass are such critical ideas to master in spirituality; doesn't this supersede the more minute details of the story?

Since the Deity expelled both of them from the Garden, doesn't that demonstrate he found them both equally culpable in what went down that day?

Sure, Adam was foolish enough to give into Eve's nagging. But you have to look at it from his point view that he was probably worried of her attacking him in his sleep. Thus paradise was ruined by a woman.
