Forgive me for jumping in, but here in North Carolina, if a wife starts boiling grits after 11:00 pm, a SMART husband is getting out of the house before he gets napalmed.

Lady, even in gated Christian community humans don't stop being human. Satan, in the forum of Mrs magazine or a PBS show or the like, gets a chance at some girls who don't know any better the next thing you know she is listing to the toaster and we are pulling the rest of her family out of the house in body bags the next morning. Yes, it even happens Freehold but the only reason is because "doubters" like you open the door for evil, because it is "fair".

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

I'm... speechless. In the case of both yourself and Mr. Johnny, does the area reflect the general national statistic that cases of male-perpetrated domestic violence logarithmically outnumber those perpetrated by females? Awake, in the victim's sleep, any which way?

What do you think? In a proper Christian household the husband is allowed to physically rebuke his wife and childern, as God directs. Needless to say what is defined as spousal abuse in the more Godless segments of society we define as "accidental" or "mutual combat" or the like so Freehold does not reflect the national average. That is more like comparing apples and oranges.

Nope sorry. I Timothy 2 reviews the event for us, and the consequences of it:

11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Had the situation been reversed and Adam saw the serpent first, then he would have rebuked it.

The serpent, being the wisest of the creatures, targeted Eve (rather than Adam) for a reason. Sadly, 6000 years on, some people are still making the same mistakes.

                  Ma'am,

I don't know much about statistics or logarithwhatevers. I'm just saying that grits are part of Gods Favorite Breakfast (along with biscuits and gravy). If a wife is cooking, in the middle of the night, a breakfast food that will stick to a sleeping mans skin and melt it off, Satan has made her do it.

                  God Bless

One question leaps to the forefront, though: Ah, how many wives do you have??

Only two at this time, dear. Although the sisters are quite interested in your spirit and cuisine.

Now, some have made snide comments about the mode of dress, but I promise you that there is nothing froward in these young women. They make me very happy.

Oh, and just to reiterate, not to be too forward, do you have a favorite pasta recipe to share? Here's one of mine:

Heat extra virgin olive oil in a nonstick (essential if you are cooking for yourself, not so much if your wife is cooking) pan with some red pepper flakes, white pepper, and garlic. You will have to get the feel for how much pepper to use, depending on taste.

Add 1/2 cup per serving of chopped, pitted kalamata olives and 1/2 cup per serving of chopped sundried tomatoes. When heated through, add 4 ounces crumbled feta cheese per serving and stir until this melts. Toss with bowtie pasta (farfalle) and serve immediately.

Now, this one isn't really authentic as such but it's so pungent and lovely that I have Mary Therese cook it at least twice a month. We all love it.

                    In Christ,
                    Warren

                      David,
Thank you for that passage and commentary. Isn't it just a beautiful commentary on the love Adam had for his helpmate (literally "a help meet (fit) for him"? What a sacrifice that Adam, knowing full well the consequences of eating, gave so much more than his life for Eve. And thus it has been for nigh on 6,000 years, man taking a wife and sacrificing so much to care for her and protect her from the world and herself.

                      Beautiful.

                      In Christ,

                          Isabella,
Welcome to God's Favorite Forum(TM). We hope you are Saved(R), but if you aren't yet, the love of a good man can certainly bring that about for you.

We have been made so welcome here, with the exception of a couple of old sillies, that it's already home.

                          Isabella,
Don't let yourself be put off when you have questions. For instance, I didn't know that the earth was only 6,000 years old when I met Warren. I wasn't really disposed to believe him until I got Saved(R) and Warren pointed me to Answers in Genesis. Check out the information here.

Thank you sisters! You're both very beautiful, and you've obviously made your husband very happy. We'll have to talk about all things past sometime soon, and include Mr. W. in the discussion, yes??

Well, my favorite, which I put together at least a couple times a week, is very simple and bears a great resemblance to what Mr. W. mentioned earlier. So olive oil and garlic into the pan with some greek olives; some halved grape tomatoes or a splendid ripe beefsteak, cut up coarsely; after that has a chance to spend a little time together in the pan, then some baby spinach and a handful of torn fresh basil wilted down on top. Put that over either some linguini or some spiral pasta with lots of shredded parmesan and a glass of white zinfandel, and the only thing that can make the night better is chocolate cake. And a shoulder rub.
