Re: Hello to you Babtist Forum

My husband supports me in everything I want to do as long as it doesn't interfere with our plans of having a family. So I'll have to go abroad before we have children, if that is what I plan to do with my major. We call it studyplan here. Basically I have a major in a subject called Religion, Society and Culture. It is very exciting, we study how religion effects cultures and patterns in psycology, for example raising children, or even celebrating the holidays. We also try to solve problems between society and religion, how we get them to co-exist and compliment eachother in the best way. It's very complex. The minors are for example different languages so that we are able to read texts on their originally intended languages, (Looking so much forward to learning Hebrew!)
Pastor> Because I want to help people, I fear not other countries, God is with me, and He will provide I trust in Him. Besides, I'm not sure I will be a missionary yet though, my health might not oblige it. In that, case I must not be a Goth in your understanding of the word. But that wouldn't surprise me, seeing as I have read what your definition is. I am none of those things. I wear black, I dye my hair occasionally, I listen to music with guitarriffs and I sing and play the piano myself.
My husband and I have been engaged now for two years and he already thinks I'm a wonderful wife, so I have no worries at all.

Maybe you should read more of the Holy Bible, so you could gain a better understanding of it.

You're a bit scattered here. Within in one paragraph, you have gone from saying that you believe some parts of the Bible, but not others to saying, "struck you like lightening".

Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Re: Hello to you Babtist Forum

I was babtised in a Church as an adult, not something people normally do here in Denmark. With water. How else do you mean babtised?

Oh of course not I am glad you asked, I meant not the Holy Bible, as I said, the expirience of reading any other book would be to take from it what you wanted. But reading the Word was a whole other expirience.
I think he made me sick out of love for me, I had not at that point spoken to my mother in half a year, because we have religious difficulties between us. She is a Pastor in the Lutheran Church, and divorced my father for telling her that she shouldn't be.
I got very angry with her, when she did.
I have been trying to reach out for her for years, but when I got sick she came to me and we talked. I was able to forgive her, and I hope I made her realise some things too.

Forgive me, I have not been clear: I meant; Reading any other book, than the Holy Bible, religious or none religious, has been picking chapeters to me. Only the Holy Bible struck me like something out of the "ordinary grey noise" as I call it.
Of course I have talked everything through with my husband. He is very excited about the idea, but he wants us to figure everything out before we settle down. I understand that, I can be very impracticle sometimes, but he loves me and beares with me

Oh and about the "I believe I am a christian," It's just because so many people call themselves christians but aren't. So stating my religion like that, I get a chance to explain what I mean when I say christian, instead of people jumping to conclusions.
I mean; I believe in the Word of the Holy Bible. I believe that God Almighty send His only son to save me and all mankind from eternal despair, with His blood and sacrifice. I believe that God is with us every day, see's our every action, He knows us better than we know ourselves, and that He loves us beyond measure. I believe that whatever happens, God has a plan for me, and He will guide me, and I pray every day that I have the strength to follow His guidance.

Which version of the Holy Bible is on your bedside stand? What does your husband do that he seems so disassociated from your endeavors? You sure seem to have a very full curriculum. Will it eventually include classes on God's favorite language (English)?

He is currently studying English actually, to be a teacher in High School. And he works on the side at a library and at the community church. And yes, as you can see I master English pretty well, since I am a halfbreed. My mother is English, and comes from Stamford Hill.
Yes, I am a busy little bee as well, But I don't mind having a lot to do.

Yes I do have a father, but my parents are divorced. My mother left with me and my brother when I was only three. I don't remember much.
My father got remarried quite quickly and had new children. We never saw much of him. But now that I am older he has contacted me, we have been seeing eachother regularly for two years now and it's lovely. I have missed him so much.

These sort of family tiffs are rampant within Christianity; Jesus is doing what He promised to do. Glory!

Mrs Rogers: Thank you, I couldn't agree with you more. He saved me from death for His purposes, and I will be eternally grateful. As for my mother, I hope she will one day forsake her ways and repend. I will pray for her in the name of our Lord Amen!

Diciple: I have tried multiple times to explain my username, but it seems no one wants to listen to me. Which makes me wonder why they ask.
Truth is, we disagree on the definition of the term "goth," I am thinking historically praised religious architecture and classical cultural English poets. You are thinking baby-killers and blasphemers.
Being "goth" for me includes a traditional Victorian dresscode; long sleeved blouses with knittings, and very long dresses. For the men I prefer a suit, tie and a hat, a real gentlemen. It means architecture like an old Roman Gothic Church, like the church of Strassbourg, never have I seen building that beautiful, it was like the noise of the city silenced completely within 30 ft. of the walls. And it means classical litterature like Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe.
Call me old fashion But I often wish myself back to that time, where rules and guidelines were clear. The girls dressed properly, and always had a chaparone with them, the fathers had much better control of their daughters, homosexuality was forbidden by law. A society much more fitting to me. Therefore, I call myself a Victorian goth
Not out of hate, not out of confusion or misguidance. Just because these values seems lost to the world and I feel like I was born in the wrong century.
