Greetings fellow Christians.
I was born and raised by a wonderful Christian family, I have attended church since the day I can remember, I have read The Holy Bible amongst other amazing Christian writings countless times and I plan on living my life to the fullest while spreading the word of God.
I found this forum through a fan page on my friend's Facebook account about subliminal messaging and I had a look through several threads. I am aware that the internet can be a cruel thing and how it can attract unwanted interest from people with nothing better to do than to cause trouble. Yet through quite a few of your high posting members even more hate is portrayed.
Who are we to judge each other?
Only God can pass judgement. And only after God has cast his judgement may he reward or punish.
Matt 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to swine"
The words of our pastors should be taken with great understanding and respect. Why do they belittle themselves by retaliating to such vulgar remarks by people who clearly do not know what they are talking about?
I am also unsure as to where the term 'True Christian' came from. A trademark on a religious term is, from my understanding, a false idolization. I am also deeply disturbed at the smiley icons available to use. A crucified smiley is surely blasphemous.
I mean no disrespect. I love and worship the very same God you do. I just feel that more time could be spent on teaching instead of persecution. I am not a fool and I know that there is evil out there. But in this day and age evil thrives on attention.
I have friends that I have grown up with who, despite my guidance, do not believe in God. And although they do not believe, they do not judge me for my own. They are tolerant of all religions and we occasionally have religious discussions. We have also discussed the people who are extremely strong in their distaste for the way that some Christian groups work, which I am sure you are all aware of. It is these people that are in need of guidance as opposed to attack. The media thrives on controversial topics and I have seen ample articles about mainstream subjects vs. Religion. Can you not see that attacking is only fueling the fire of disbelief.
I'm afraid I have to go to sleep now as I have work in the morning. I shall return to this thread soon and would be more than happy to discuss what I have said.
