    Hi there!

    Hey everyone,

I thought i'd just introduce myself. My name is Christine and I live in Bendigo Australia. My parents (and I do love them for everything they've done for me) tried to raise me as an atheist because they believed that their misfortunes meant that there was no god. I have tried to tell them that trials are merely God's way of testing our devotion but I have gotten nowhere with them. Some people simply refuse to see reason!

But enough about my parents. All my life I have had a tough time fitting in because I dress conservatively - I don't show my legs and breasts off to the world like a sl*t! This always left me feeling alone and isolated in the world. One day when I was going for a walk in Golden Square on a summer's day (it was quite hot because I was wearing jeans and a long sleeved jumper!) I found the answer to my problems. I saw the Golden City baptist church, and out the front was a man who saw I was troubled. I told him how I had trouble fitting in, and he told me a passage from the bible that really spoke to me:

Proverbs 31:30: Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

At last I had found a group of people that shared the sense of disgust I felt in modern society, with women displaying their goods like meat in a butcher's window. To cut a long story short (I have been known to talk too much, but forgive me, I AM a woman after all!) I am now an active member of the church and I'm always keen to chat with like minded people!

    Thanks for your time!

Wow, there sure are a lot of Aussies on this forum! It is good to see another NSW Believer. I know it is hard to remain modest in this harsh climate, but as I like to remember around Christmas time - 'But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.' (Isaiah 40:31)

Does the Pastor serve as your father in questions of morality?
Has he not found a husband yet so you can start birthing little soldiers for Christ?
1st Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children
      sigpic 1 Chronicles 16:15
Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations ... an everlasting covenant.
Proverbs 30:5,6: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Hello! My pastor is as a father to me, I have the utmost respect for him and submit myself to his superior wisdom. As for a husband, no... I have asked my pastor to find a husband for me, but he is having difficulty finding a suitable partner. In these heathen times, it is difficult to find a man strong enough to resist the temptations of the underworld! But I know that God will find me someone soon so I can start bearing children for Him!

            Re: Hi there!

Welcome, Christine! Thank you for your inspiring testimony. Please don't feel burdened when you hate your parents, as a True Christian(tm), you are supposed to:

            Luke 14:26:
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

We have an excellent forum for single Christians here. Many young ladies like you have been saved from becoming an old spinster through this forum.
However, to find a Godly husband, I advise you to first show your skills as a homemaker. What is your best pie? I personally like blueberry-cream cheese pies very much.
            Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
            Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

            Amen.

              Bendigo huh?

Have you met Brother Swish yet?

He lives over that way some where.

I also hear that Reverend Osborne is doing some televangilism in Australia very soon. Maybe you will be able to go to one of his meetings.

I hope he advertises his schedule soon.
              2 Chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.

Unfortunately I'm not great at making blueberry-cream cheese pies. And while I am good at making lemon meringue pies, my lack of ability in blueberry-cream cheese pies is a source of great shame to me. I am undertaking classes in how to be a good housewife, including the basics on cooking, cleaning and subservience. I think if I try really hard I might make an adequate wife so I can perform God's work!

I am so so sorry for you. Isn't that where that horrid man Darryl Somers lives with his "friend" that Ostrich?

Those stupid-willed atheists can be like that and they ALWAYS blame God for their life folly. You have done the best you can to tell them of the right road but if their ears are far too clogged with secular rubbish, even the cotton-tip of Christ cannot penetrate!

All my life I have had a tough time fitting in because I dress conservatively - I don't show my legs and breasts off to the world like a sl*t! Well gosh, ANY of Paul's or Timothy's writings alone will tell you that you are dressing as God would want a young lady to so you have been on the right path all along.

A truly warm welcome to you, Christine!!

May I ask how old you are and also, what is your favorite thing to bake?

                  Are you betrothed?

I look forward to your response.

                      Hello GodisGreat!

Maybe you want to give this recipe a try:

                      PIE CRUST FROM SCRATCH
                      1/4 c. boiling water
                      1/2 c. shortening
                      1 c. flour
                      1/2 tsp. salt
                      Dash of baking powder
Cream shortening and water together until smooth. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Form into ball. Cool in refrigerator. Roll on floured board or sheet. Bake.

                      FILLING:
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
                      1/4 c. sour cream
                      1/4 c. sugar
                      1/2 tsp. vanilla
                      TOPPING:
                      1/2 c. water
                      1/2 c. sugar
                      1 c. fresh blueberries
                      1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. cornstarch mixed with water

For filling: Cream together ingredients until smooth. Spread in bottom of baked pie crust.

For topping: Bring blueberries to a boil in water and sugar mixture. Reduce heat and mash with fork or masher. Add cornstarch mixture and lemon juice, stir until thickened. Pour on top of cream cheese filling. Refrigerate for 3-5 hours until topping sets.

                      Serves eight

I hope we can be friends

                      Yours in Christ

Hello, Christine. It's so good to see another Australian here. I have no doubt that the recent appointment of a WOMAN as our Prime Minister must be driving many people here in search of Christian solace. Perhaps it's all part of His plan to drive us into His arms.

I hope that you'll find a nice young Good Christian man here - I highly recommend that you work hard on your pie making skills. Perhaps if that WOMAN had spent more time making pies and less time making politics she'd be nicely settled down with a Good Christian husband by now, baking delicious pies and soldiers for Jesus instead of spitting in God's eye from The Lodge.

1 Corinthians 7:39-40 ...but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

Really? Are you sure? A trusted friend of mine told me that it was, and as I don't know who you are, or anything about you, I will continue to believe that it is indeed in NSW. Perhaps you are looking at the wrong maps?
