  • The Middle Way

Hello True Christians™. I am Siddartha Gautama, a prince from Nepal. Some call me Buddha, or the "awakened one", due to my teachings while I was still among you. Now, I decided to come back to this Earth in order to help you all to reach true enlightenment, so that you can free yourselves from the wheel of Saṃsāra.

I hope you can all open your minds and accept the truth of the Universe... And remember: The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.

      Welcome.

You have 2 options here, follow the Holy Bible or burn in hell!
5 Reasons why GOD HATES WOMEN!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

By following the path of Enlightenment, you can escape the wheel of reincarnation, and the Naraka (or Hell, as you like to call it). There is no need to follow any specific book in order to find Enlightenment.

That's the best kind of troll!

I think this one is going to limit his posts to the occasional cut-and-paste from an online collection of Buddist sayings.

Buddhism is such a wonderful faith tradition. It will really open up your third eye. People here could benefit from that.

Human beings are made of body, mind and spirit.
                Of these, spirit is primary,
for it connects us to the source of everything,
                the eternal field of consciousness.

I have always had a fascination with how pragmatic Buddhism is. The fact that the Buddha made the claim that if it does not work for obtaining an ease to suffering you shouldn't do it and that includes his own teachings. So with that in mind I say welcome to the forums, Siddhartha, I look forward to hearing your favorite Bible verse.
Genesis 4:12: When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

Numbers 35:19: The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

My, there certainly are a bunch of new flamers today. I mean that in two ways.

So... Buddhism? Isn't that one of them oriental ideas? It could hardly be called a religion... reincarnation you say!? God didn't make ME to be recycled. What a dumb notion. And heretical to boot.
And isn't Buddhism the one where you take lessons in self control from a 600-pound man? Wow he must be a good teacher.

Repent or burn in Hell, heathen!!!
Whosoever transgresseth , and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Buddhism isn't even a faith tradition. Shows how stupid you are. Buddhists have no faith in a supreme deity.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

                          Great point Nobar!

                          @ Mr. Enlightened
The Problem is that they worship the balance of Everything.
No man can balance between Heaven or Hell. It's one or the other.
You're Damned or not Damned. Nothing. I say Nothing! In between.
Not to mention that once you are in Heaven or The Fiery lakes below no way will you become a person in a "Next Life". The Part that sickens me the most is that you think you can even become a beast in the "Next Life"
God Never Created me to be a Lion in the Next Life!
Bel and the Dragon 27: So Daniel took some tar, some fat, and some hair and boiled them all together. He made cakes out of the mixture and fed them to the dragon. When the dragon ate them, it swelled up and burst open. "That's the kind of thing you Babylonians worship," said Daniel.

Actually, your marketing theory has a flaw in it. You should be saying, "Friends at Landover Baptist, I am Buddha. My message was and is today, get over it! That is, I am not supernatural--you don't need supernatural. You got troubles, you can solve youself. I know, I know, you people at LBC believe in Jesus. OK. But you also believe in taking charge and making yourselves better. We're alike that way."

I think we'd all take to you a little better with the above approach instead of talking about 'enlightenment' or whatever it is you are talking about.

                            Just a suggestion.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.
