Last question first. It is a nigra eating watermelon. You have a nigra name, Tyreka. Do you like watermelon?

Where was the Mission your father was Pastor? I have friends who also do missionary work in Northern China.

I have to assume you are a female. Do you have your fathers permission to be on here?

What is your favorite Bible verse?

    That will do for now

    Mrs Phebe Dewitt.

    There's Jesus here,

    Down here my sins forgiven,
Up there a home in heaven
Praise God, That's the way for me!!

I don't particularly enjoy watermelon, Mrs. Phebe. Do you like watermelon?

Haha, I didn't know I needed to tell my father of all my activities.

[quote]What is your favorite Bible verse?

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you, and shall reproach , and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Why ever do you have the idea that our Church promotes racism?

Yes I do like watermelon. It is very refreshing on a hot summers day.

        Care to name the Church?

You are 18 years of age. If you are not married you can't go to your husband, so yes your father is the one whose permission you should ask. I noticed you have little respect for your father, considering you didn't even capitalize the P in Pastor when referring to him, but this is just total disrespect.

It wasn't very public (chinese government and all), but translated from Cantonese, it meant Everlasting Water.

But we don't live in a Patriarchal society anymore.
My father lives in Florida, he usually goes to sleep at 9:30 pm. I wouldn't want to disturb him with such a trivial question.

          Mrs Phebe Dewitt.
Living in China as a young girl, I've always felt persecuted. Chased down and taunted for my faith, even physically abused. When I think of that verse, I feel like my faith is worth so much more than my worldy pains. I'm in college now, this verse's value grows even more. I don't smoke, drink, and I'm a virgin. It's difficult to keep your cool in college.

We are against racism. We know God wants us to save even the inferior people.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Isn't that a wonderful sentiment? We are all one in the same in Jesus, but in this life there are divisions and roles for different people.

            Take for instance,
1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

How can we all be the exact same if woman are not allowed to teach much less speak?

Here's another example where Paul speaks of slavery.

            Ephesians 6:5-6 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

How can we all be equal if some people are slaves?

Here is an example of how race played into Jesus' teaching.

In Matthew 15, Jesus at first refuses to heal the woman because she is not a Jew.

22And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Then there is the Old Testament where God instructs his people to not make any deals with those of conquered races.

            Deuteronomy 7
2And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
4For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
5But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Funny, the Chinese government has allowed adults to belong to Christianity since the 70's.

But we don't live in a Patriarchal society anymore.
So you think the Bible changes with the times? Where does it say that?

My father lives in Florida, he usually goes to sleep at 9:30 pm. I wouldn't want to disturb him with such a trivial question.
I don't have perfect capitalization, sorry.
Oh, come on, if you're 18, your father is in his 40's at the latest. Really, is anyone over the age of 30 absolutely ancient to you? BTW, what kind of Christian father doesn't keep his daughter under his wing until she finds a Good Christian Husband?

But you don't choose what skin color you're born into. Equality doesn't mean anything?

                Galatians 3:28

                Take for instance,
1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

How can we all be the exact same if woman are not allowed to teach much less speak?
But that was the time when it was impossible for a woman to be educated. If a woman sees her husband (which her father arranged her to marry) goes off and slaughters innocent people (Christians, not unsaved scum), does she usurp his authority? Is she suppose to let him continue?

Here's another example where Paul speaks of slavery.

                Ephesians 6:5-6
                Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

How can we all be equal if some people are slaves?
But slavery doesn't exist in most 1st world countries. Some people are born as slaves, they fulfill their given duty and go on. Slaves are not limited to blacks. In Jesus' days, Jewish people sold themselves into slavery. Slaves included all races.

27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
How about the woman at the well and the roman centurion?

Then there is the Old Testament where God instructs his people to not make any deals with those of conquered races.

                Deuteronomy 7
2And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

5But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.
If not mistaken, the Jews themselves were conquered numerous times.

                Also
James 2:4 " have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? "

Acts 10:34 "Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism"

Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus"

                              Hi Tyreka!

I have a question for you. Why do you study psychology when it is wrong? Freud believed that sexual desires came from the subconsious mind when they clearly strem from demons.

And as a psychology major do you then also believe that some dreams contain messages from the subconsious? Because this is wrong too! The Bible clearly states that when a message is send via a dream it is send by God.

                              Genesis 20:3

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife

                              To the false christians:

Feel like pissing off God? Perhaps this will change your mind:

                              Hosea 13:16
Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
