Hello everyone. My name is John, and I would just like to say that I think Jesus is amazing. As for the proper introduction: I do not attend any church. Now please, before you go and shout "blasphemy", let me explain. I have, for the longest time, been persecuted for my beliefs where I live (which I would rather not reveal even to friends such as all of you, for fear of further persecution). There was a time when I tried to help save my family and "friends" and even working, as per the Lord's instructions, to build a local church-building. It started with a few friends helping out, but they gave up soon. However, I continued doing the work the Lord had given to me, until I felt forced to give up the work when the ignorant Satanist Godhaters around here started physically assaulting me. I now work in ways somewhat more subtle - and while the weird looks (at best) and hateful insults (at worst) still continue coming from this scum, at least I am no more being regularly beaten by thugs for my faith.
It all started about eight years ago. It was in the winter of 2002 that I was on my way home. I never really did fit in even before I found Jesus, and these thugs I've talked of before (or someone of their ilk, at least) assaulted me. They beat me bloody and left me, knocked-out, in some grove in the nearby forest. When I came to, I was cold and hungry, and it was rather dark outside. I rushed, best I could, to my home, where my wounds were disregarded as minor - as something that could be walked off, or that would disappear over night. I was given some cold, left over food from dinner and sent to my room for disobeying orders. I felt abandoned and sad, as any young teen would have done in that situation. In my room, I cried and wondered why I had been put in this horrible, godforsaken home. And with my tears, it was as if something had opened a floodgate, and God's love came rushing through. I realized that there was an answer to this why - it was up to me to save this Godforsaken place. And so, for the last eight years (although with little success) I have tried to do so. It is because of this that my favourite Bible verse is Exodus 15:2 - The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him.
That's my story. Glad to have found this place.

Now, before you start hating me, it is not my fault. I've wanted to move somewhere else for a long time, free from oppression. However, I lack proper funding and support.
