I go to the Immanuel Baptist Church in Rochester. I was born in '63, and my favorite bible verse is Proverbs 18:21.
My story of salvation started in 1981, when I was in high school. Or rather, should have been in high school. I was on everything that you can imagine: Rock cocaine, heroin, occasionally marijuana, and LSD. There was not a day I went without smoking or shooting some kind of obscene, ungodly material. I was jailed once for 8 years, getting out of a 15 year sentence on good behavior. So, yes, in 1989 I decided that I was let out of prison for a reason. I knew there were more like me, more I could help, and so I started down on the path of salvation, taking my brother with me, saving him and myself, giving myself freely to Jesus so that I may do his work on earth for Him. My brother is not of high standing in the church, but he does go to every Sunday mass and makes a confession every Saturday. He has three children, Eliza, Jane, and Stewart. I, of course, have no wife and devote all of my time and energy to the church.
That is my story.
