Also, I don't believe that my heart has been hardened to the word of God; I think if that were the case, I wouldn't even be here trying to learn more! If that were true I'd be out doing terrible things and not even trying. I think simply the act of trying shows that that's untrue.

I'm sorry, I'd thought I'd given my introduction. My name is Missy Kardon. I'm 18 years old. I've graduated from high school, but I haven't yet moved on to college. What else would you like to know?
The King James Version © 1611 Holy Bible is the One True Bible which perfectly preserves God's Word, as He promised in Psalm 12:6-7.

The NAV is a false bible, promulgated by the Roman Catlicker death cult to lead Jesus' elect astray. Do not be seduced by these false deceivers!

    Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I agree that you seem to have a very pliable mind, which will come in very handy as you venture forth on your walk with Christ. A large part of your difficulty in accepting God's offer of Redemption is that you are still too independent-minded. Please refer to the verses of Scripture in my signature, Colossians 2:8 and Proverbs 3:5-6. Trying to think for yourself may make you feel very smart and self-sufficient, but this is vanity. How smart do you think you'd feel when you find yourself charred to a crisp in the lake of fire? God gave us His Word precisely so that we don't have to think for ourselves! It's so easy! All you have to do is follow the instructions in the KJV 1611.

I think there may be hope for you yet, young lady. What are your plans for the future? Are you married yet? Do you have any sons? If not, does your father have any suitors lined up for you? I hope you do not plan to waste these prime childbearing years in the "educational" institutions of the secular elite. Our LORD never learned letters.

    John 7:15
And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?

The only reason for a so-called college "education" is if we plan to use it to bring glory to the Kingdom of Heaven. For example, I have a degree in Young Earth Geology and a Master's degree in Creation Sciences with an Emphasis in Applied Theophysics. I use this knowledge to crush atheists and secular scientists in debate and expose their ignorance.

What domestic skills do you possess? How is your cooking? Can you sew? How much can you lift? A young lady like yourself should be preparing to make a Christian man very happy one day, as I'm sure you will if you stick around and learn from our example.
    II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

I think I'll need to know a bit more before I hop across the country! Where would I stay? What would my duties be? What would my daily life be like? etc...

also, you don't actually attend Landover, if you you live in Illinois, do you?

Please don't ignore the posts from the pastors and others while replying to me. To answer your questions though, we don't attend Landover Baptist Church's services but we attend First Baptist Church in Plano which have the same exact beliefs of that of LBC's. We follow the KJV1611 to the letter.

You'd stay with my dad in his bed and you'd help me cooking things like pies(I don't know how to cook a pie yet!), cleaning(dishes, clothes floor), and sometimes help us with the horses next door. Your daily life would be that of a Christian woman!

        In Jesus, Janine Walker

I'm sorry, I hit post before I saw his post, and couldn't reply because of the 300 second waiting period.

To answer your questions, I'm decent at cooking, not great, but okay. I can bake better than I can cook. I can clean well. I can sew well, and I know how to knit, but not well. I play the piano fairly well, if that's important at all. I'm not married and I have no kids. My parents aren't very religious, so I have no suitors through them.

@Janine: what about your mother? and I was under the impression that the bible was against unmarried couples lying together...?

My mom died a long time ago, and no it is not against the Bible for a married couple to lie together.

              But who wrote the Bible?

              "God wrote the Bible!"

So just using regular normal people logic, we can come to the conclusion that:

"God wrote the Bible in which it says that God exists because the Bible says so...!"

and so on and so forth. So you're saying something exists because of something this thing said? Isn't this the definition of circular logic?
This is your idea of an introduction?

Why are you here, girl? Do you even have your father's permission to be posting?

You say it like there is something wrong with circular logic. If you look more closely you will notice all logic is circular.

For example: A rectangle is something with 4 sides and 4 right angles, something with 4 sides and 4 right angles is called a rectangle. So according to your reasoning rectangles don't exist?

To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!
