  • Hello everyone.

    Hello.
My name is Johann and I come from Berlin in Germany (so excuse bad English if some appears).
I do not go to a church yet, but I have found some readings in with the teachings of Jesus from some people who have visited my school. They made me interested in Jesus
My favorite verses of the Bibel is Die zehn Gebote (I do not know how to say in English). I like them the most because they let me know how to live my life in Gods will.

    Many greetings, siblings in Christ,
    Johann.

I look up name of Gebot now, so I can say better.

I am not so sure of some words in the number 1 paragraph, but Google Translator helps me. I do not want my Soul to burn in the Hell and I search for churches, but my parents are very sceptical about Jesus and God.
By saying your first line, did you not break the second commandment?
You shall not say the name of the God uselessly?

Also, what is a Tithing plan?

Here, The Name of GoD is invoked for the majority of everyday occurrences and even the odd emergency.

In traffic, it's more satisfying to yell, "JESUS!"

          2 Mose 20:7 (Luther Bibel 1545)

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Was meint es, "in vain"? Das heisst "in vanity" = "in der Eitelkeit"

Also! Es wäre eine Sünde, zb zu sagen: "Der Herr hat mich gerettet aus dem Unfall." Weil es klingt als ob Du wichtiger als alle Anderen Dem Herr seiest

Also, what is a Tithing plan?
You give God 1/10th of all your wages.

DerMeister, even though your soul cannot have a price tag put on it, the tithing 10% of your income will be tough due to the fact you live in a socialist country and the government already takes 90% of your income. But, I did the math and you just made it! Welcome to our forum. Will it be possible to get a certified check out by Monday? Jesus loves you! So approx how much do you gross in a week? Praise Jesus! Do you have access to wiring money? YiC

Achso! Ich verstehe jetzt. Vielen Dank.
Meine Bibel sagt „Du sollst den Namen deines Gottes nicht unnützlich führen.“ Ich muss eine bessere Bibel holen.

Oh. I did not know that my government takes 90% of my wages. How did you find that out? I do not work because I stil go to the school, but I plan to get work soon. What is wiring money? And no, you cannot get a check by Monday. It just started being Sunday here. I cannot get a check to America because I do not work and is too far.

And to emphasize his point, it is your GROSS income. Don't rob God by calculating on your net. You should never give the government their percentages based on a higher total than you would God.

I have never said that I cannot handle it. I say that I do not have a job yet. If you read again what you quoted me on, I say that I look for work.
I also have a church found, so I can now go to worship and give 10% of my money to God once I get a job.
I am sorry if your life is a little hectic. You do much for a single person.

Welcome to God's Favorite Forum, brother Johann!

Poor soul - it would seem you are a victim of Germany's public school system which imposes compulsory Catholic or Protestant indoctrination based on corrupted versions of the Bible (unless your heathen parents choose to have you indoctrinated in secular Ethics, which is of course far worse).

The Ten Commandments (which is the proper term for your "zehn Gebote" from God's Own Book - the KJV of the Bible) which you say you "like" are probably the wrong ones. For some reason both the Catholics and the Protestants have conspired to tell lies about which of two versions of ten laws are actually the Ten Commandments on which God has based his covenant with us.

If you don't recognize the following list from Exodus 34, it's not because of your limited language skills but because you have been deceived by your own state and the two corrupt megachurches. You see: The expired version of the Ten Commandments which you have been taught were written on the tablets that Moses broke in anger after God had threatened to wipe the tribe of Israel off the face of the earth.

                      GLORY!

Moses prevented this by pointing out that the LORD would look small in the eyes of the Egyptians and would have broken his promises (Exodus 32:11-14). Well - we do know God is jealous and can hold a bit of a grudge:

                      Exodus 20:5
                      Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am ajealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

But I digress - you will find a more detailed discussion of this issue here, describing how only True Christians pass God's test for Bible scholarship: The Ten Commandments

In the interest of your eternal salvation, here are the real Ten Commandments - I hope you will see how you have been deceived and will accept God's real offer of a covenant.

                      Exodus 34:17-28
[17] Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
[18] The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
[19] All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.
[20] But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
[21] Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
[22] And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.
[23] Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.
[24] For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.
[25] Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
[26] The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

[27] And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
[28] And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Note that these are also the only laws that are actually called the "Ten Commandments" in the Bible, so God is being clear here. The expired version that was destroyed when the Israelites violated God's first attempt at a covenant by worshipping a golden calf obviously were not called the ten commandments.

Also, you should go to your Einwohnermeldeamt/Bürgerbüro and declare your "Kirchenaustritt" - otherwise once you start working, the state tax authorities will start stealing your money and hand it to whichever of the two corrupt megachurches grabbed you into their fake baptism. Instead, you will want to use that money to give to the Landover Baptist Church...

PS: While I'm obviously upset with the German state conspiring with the Catholic and Protestant churches to forcibly collect their tithes for them (in return for a cut of the action for the tax authority which they call a "service fee"), I have to admit that the German state is doing some things right:

In several German "Länder" (roughly what are the "states" in the US), dancing is prohibited by secular law on Good Friday (Google Translate), lest people have too much fun instead of praising Sweet Baby Jesus. And if you are running a club or disco, you must prevent your clients from dancing on Good Friday - or pay very stiff fines.

Of course some heathens had to start an illegal and Unchristian dance flashmob on the main square in Frankfurt just to make a point: Tanzverbot Flashmob

This makes me so angry... no batons, no police in riot gear hunting the heathens in the streets... nothing to enforce God's Will and Jesus' Glory against these blasphemers! I can hardly wait for Biblical law to be reinstated everywhere - let the stoning of those funloving heathens begin!

PPS: Sincere apologies to the True Christians here for straying from proper American terminology in a few places - I just wanted to make sure Johannes does the right thing and can start tithing for LBC ASAP.
Mark 11: 12-14: "And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever." You cannot hide from JESUS' wrath behind natural laws! Gravity is only a theory and will not prevent the rapture!
