Hello everyone,

I'm becoming increasingly interested in the fundamentalist perspective of Christianity rather than the indecisiveness of the liberal definition.

I haven't seen anything about this on the forum yet, so I thought I'd bring something new. In addition, I'm conflicted:

What is LBC's stance on bodybuilding?

I won't give my opinion because I want to start this discussion without my input and therefore predilection.

Bodybuilding is a hobby for homosexuals. No straight man or True Christian™ would think their life's work would be hanging out for 8 hours with other sweaty, half-naked men, watching them flex their muscles, helping your "buddy" with squats and gluteal exercises, then finishing the work-out with painful gay sex in a steamy locker room. The only reason they lift weights so much is to develop a physique that makes them the choice cut of beef in the gay dating pool. They want men to lust after them.

I don't see how one can be a Christian and body builder at the same time. It's impossible.

So, why don't you tell us a bit about yourself? Why are you asking about bodybuilding? What church do you attend?

Thank you for your quick response.

One of the issues with that article is the specification of the extent to which health and fitness is acceptable in the eyes of God. While I understand using anabolic steroids is unacceptable, there is an extent to which hygiene is necessary.

Another issue is the argument against public gyms. I can confidently say I'm not tempted sexually by other men, or ever will be. Taking that into account, I lift weights in the comfort of my own home.

Final note, I have never ever heard of ingesting "bull semen"! There would not be any metabolical anabolic effect from such an action.

I have read that article before and it has not yet deterred me from continuing my hobby.

Rush is perhaps the LEAST satanic band in history.
First, that is not an occult image. A pentagram is not a pentacle. Elementary school teaches that.
The "Red Star" symbolizes the Soviet nation, without outright claim that it is about the Soviets. Through this, they were able to express criticisms of the Soviet way of life and government without abolition by the left.

However, satanic bands like Led Zeppelin should be avoided at all costs.

I do treat my body as a temple. I regard bodybuilding as the best form of treatment of the body. Bodybuilding is 90% eating correctly to gain muscle and losing fat (without ingesting bull semen or anabolic steroids). 10% is lifting weights. I think it is you that missed my point. I will elaborate:
There is a point at which taking care of and improving one's body becomes sinful. My goal is to find this point.
I stated that hygiene is acceptable, and you agreed. What is the point between hygiene and lifting weights that qualifies as the transition from a not-sinful to sinful nature?

Secondly I will elaborate one more: I am a heterosexual. I have always been a heterosexual. I will remain a heterosexual.
What incites you to believe that I will become a homosexual? Is it that I am surrounded by men? I am surrounded by men at church, but I highly doubt they will succumb to the temptation of rape. They are heterosexuals like me.

My vanity and arrogance? Did I not come to this forum? Did I not ask for your opinion? I am open minded, but your arguments are weak. Ad hominem will not help your circumstance.
