    Introduction

    Hello!

First of all, I guess I have to say that I am a progressive Christian. I generally vote for the Democratic Party. That being said, I am one of the liberals that are generally disillusioned with the Obama Presidency.

What I want to know is: can a conservative message board such as this allow a liberal Christian to become a part of it?
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

This is called the INTRODUCTIONS section for a reason. Please tell us about yourself, your false Christian church and your limp-wristed interpretation of God's Holy Word that makes you think Jesus might approve of voting for a radical darkie for president of His favorite country.

How can you be a 'progressive Christian'? Either you follow in Gods footsteps or you do not. You go to one of those big city 'All Welcome' fluffy bunny Churches?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Why would we allow someone to come on our message board and just rant and rave about anal sex all day and all night? To soak up infractions? You, ma'am, have an offensive sense of entitlement.

For you to say you are disillusioned with Obama, but remain a liberal, is like saying you love serial murder in general, but you didn't like Richard Ramirez. Is that supposed to endear us? You are still spitting on Jesus as He dangles on the cross. Why?

          Christianity does NOT progress.

Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good, his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations

          Psalm 117:2
For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

          Psalm 119:160
Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

          Isaiah 40:8
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

          Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

          Luke 16:17
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Christianity has its foundations 2000 years ago, foundation set in earliest history 4004 years before that. You may as well ask a rock to progress.

Are you progressive in believing that 2+2 can sometimes = 5?

Or is it that you perhaps have a better idea how the World should be? Perhaps better than God's?

What I want to know is: can a conservative message board such as this allow a liberal Christian to become a part of it?
No. Would you invite a rabid psychopath to share your room? Would you let your children play with a rattler?

          Heed these words:

2nd Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2nd Corinthians 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Welcome, I'm sorry you've chosen your own opinion over God's

There is an excellent sermon on Matthew 7:1 over here

I'm confused by your reading of Matthew 12:41-44

And we do love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. It's not us who hates them and will cast them into Hell - it's God.

I take it one of those is your favourite passage?

"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" - Matthew 10:25
Like most people of wealth, I have no actual possessions or money, it is all tied up in trusts - for taxation purposes I am as poor as a nigra.

"Blessed are the peacemakers" - Matthew 5:9
This is true. After the enemy has been defeated utterly, we need people to come and negotiate mineral rights, division of spoils, etc. We don't want squabbling among our own, do we?

"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you" - Matthew 5:44
My enemies I love: God's enemies I hate. I have no enemies - God seems to have smitten most of them. Case closed.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged" - Matthew 7:1
Compare with John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. and I think if you read the context of both, you will see that your limited knowledge has let you down again.

                  Matthew 12:41-44 supports progressive taxation
M't:12:41: The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
M't:12:42: The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
M't:12:43: When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
M't:12:44: Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

As beautiful as it is, I do not see your point.

There is nothing progressive about any of those verses. Perhaps you could give an example of this "progress(ion)"?

                    Matthew, Chapter 25:

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

                        Proverbs 12:15
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I have repented! You're right! The Bible and God demands that we should engage in genocide against all non-believers, including the muslims and homosexuals. We must yell from the tops of mountains to these groups: REPENT, FOR THE END IS NEAR! HALLELUJAH!
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
