  • Hey there

    Hi, my name's Raven and I'm a Christian goth attempting to make it known that goth's are not evil they are just ordinary people with darker interested to the world and need to be accepted instead of rejected. I go to a big church in Australia now called Influencers Church.
    I'm doing bible college at the mo and am enjoying it.

    If you don't beleive me then thats fine. I got a warning earlier for speaking my mind. Probably because I'm not 100% fully aware of your standing compared to mine.

    I can't give you a favorite bible verse because their all good, no, wait AWSOME!!!

    I was brought up in church and came to goth through a time of great depression and loneliness. But it seemed even when I went to Youth for the first time and found peace I still felt like an outsider and felt like I was meant for something different. I feel comfortable in both church and goth clubs. Aren't we meant to bring light into the dark places?
    This'll be my last year in the Youth area. I'm so looking forward to Young Adults.

    I'm already beginning to think I've overstayed my welcome. How can I get my point across without being misunderstood as a flamer? So please any advice would be appreciated.

    There is no such thing as a "Christian goth." It's ridiculous. That's like saying your a jooish nazi, or a pregnant man.

      The ultra-Satanic rock group Type O Negative pretty much gave birth to the exact type of sinner you're turning into.

      Fortunately, I don't believe you're old enough to hear this type of trash, so you've probably never heard of that group or the song I'm referencing. Stay as far away as possible from it as you can, and immediately close your browser if you hear anything that even sounds like it could be it.

      I'm serious. Don't ever look up the song Christian Woman, by Type O Negative. It's riddled with subtle blasphemy and undertones of a perverse nature. Under no circumstances should you ever subject yourself to that kind of perverse, occult witchcraft and demon-worship. It is too evil for anyone but True Christian™ eyes. Let alone a woman's eyes. Let alone a little girl's eyes.

          Little girl, I feel sorry for you. Right now, you think wearing black and writing bad poetry is cool. But I bet you won't think it's too cool when you're being raped in a puddle of your own puke, high on junk in some roach-infested squat.

          Because that's where you're headed little lady. I'm probably old enough to be your mother, and all goth ever gave me was hepatitis C, three abortions, and night blindness. Goth, drugs, and sexual assault go together like peanut butter and bananas.

              Goth to me is simply being sinking deeper into life's questions and what life is about. Yes I've looked into scriptures more deeply seeking answers. Yes I wear black but I like other colours as well.

              I agree there's a lot to Goth I disagree with but there's also a lot I've found attractive: The munsters!!!
              I've read the post on goth and have found the most of the points untrue to my standing. I was goth before I met Jesus and I understand your perseptions on goth.

              I thank you for your concern, I accept people who are into these sort of things and love to invite them to church as Jesus died for us ALL. He died so our sins could be forgiven and I see that as an opportunity to reach out to these people.

              I want to change their destinies. I don't want to grow old living a pointless life.

              Flamer? Is that what you guys call people who cause trouble on this site?

                  That's my point, he died so everyone could have the opportunity to beleive in him and not purish. I know not everyone will accept but everyone has the opportunity.

                      The Bible does not tell us specifically about what happens to those who have never heard. But it does say that Jesus is the only way to salvation (Acts 4:12). If it is possible that someone who has not heard the gospel can be saved, it must be through Jesus Christ and him alone (John 14:6). But, it could not be that a person who is not heard of Jesus can make it to heaven based upon being good since that would violate the scriptural teaching that no one is good (Rom. 3:10-12).
                      If all people who have never heard of the gospel of Jesus Christ end up in hell, then that would be right because God would never do anything that is improper. On the other hand, if any of them end up in heaven, then it would be the right thing to do for the same reason.
                      But, if righteousness before God can be achieved through being good, or sincere, or by following various laws, then Jesus died needlessly: "I do not nullify the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly," (Gal. 2:21).
                      Because the Scripture does not specifically address this issue, we cannot make an absolute statement concerning it. However, since the Bible does state that salvation is only through Jesus and that a person must receive Christ, then logically we conclude that those who have not heard the gospel are lost. This is all the more reason to preach the gospel to everyone.
                      "for Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. 14 How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard?" (Rom. 10:13-14).
                      Following are some verses that relate to this topic:
                      • John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
                      • John 14:6, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
                      • Acts 4:12, “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.”
