    Hello Fellow Christians!

    This website is AMAZING! I couldn't find any like minded baptist individuals in my local area and had just about given up when, lo and behold, this brilliant site appeared! It must have been God who made this wonderful place pop up on google when I was researching the KJV bible!

    My favorite bible verse is:
    And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (Mark 9:45)

    I have been a baptist all my life and go to baptist church. As a child I went to a strict and well disciplined baptist school.
    That's about all I think.

    Ah yes! God's mercy in letting us know our peril is bounteous indeed.

    I can't hear that verse without immediately racing for its obvious counterpoint.

        Welcome! Not much of an introduction without giving us a name to refer to though.

          Bible study? I hope you weren't being guided in cherry picking and interpreting by some false Pastor. I hope you really meant "While reading the Bible myself and taking it at face value."

                  Remember, science isn't always wrong, so it's important to be specific about your claims.

                  For example, science is right about computers. I know because I'm using one right now. That's evidence.

                  Science is wrong about how the world was created. They just make things up. They have no evidence, because they weren't around then.

                    "Science (from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe."

                    In other words, science by definition is how the universe works. Since God exists, God is a part of science, and how he created the universe is also science.

                        God created and organised the universe is a systematic way, so it would work perfectly, didn't he? Are you implying that God's creation of the Universe is not perfect and was conceived by some chance event?

                          Of course the universe was created to God's Perfect Specifications, but are you trying to suggest creating light (Genesis 1:3) before stars and the sun (Genesis 1:16) was systematic?
