    A clean slate.

    Hello there.
I am new here and would love to learn more about this religion first hand from True Christians.
I myself am not a full Christian, as my upbringing was of "The Liberal Minded" as my family calls it - and I am sorry to say that I have no wish of abandoning my current life.
I DO however, want to change the way I perceive life by means of a strong, well moral-ed religion.

I am currently a clean slate, open for new ideas of the Lord's and our Saviour Jesus Christ's teaching.
It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.
    Ecclesiastes 7:5-6

What church do you go to?

What is your favourite Bible verse?

When did Jesus first touch you?

    YIC
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

      Re: A clean slate.

How many sons has God seen fit for your wife to bear? How many survived birthing?

What kinds of things do you do to promote the Christian way of life and how do you think everyone can best squash the anti-religion fever that is tearing away at the moral fabric of America?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

        This.

So many so called Christians come here with no useful information at all.

If only more people coming to this site would have something uplifting to say about what they do for the Big Man, rather than steal thing in only to eventually so their true Athiestiscal dedication to homolife.

Thank God, I thought this was NicoleRitaWhatever again.

Oh, and hi, young fellow. Have you read the Bible yet?

There are two great resources in my signature: The "Bible in a Year" is a section of this very forum, where Landoverians can help you as you read and discuss the Bible. "Real Bible Stories" shares stories from the Bible, as they're written (not embellished), with a wonderful and enlightening Sunday School discussion where all the "tough questions" are addressed.

I just noticed earlier this week that the authoress is just a few chapters short of finishing the story of Joseph!
          Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!
You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!

You open the cover and look at it and read the words. A child can understand it. If God says something is an abomination it is. If Jesus says you are going to Hell, you are.

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Matthew 10 just underlines the same message.

You really should read the whole thing.

Then you'd know that in the book of Jonah, it's not a whale that ate him at all, but a great fish. It's only when Jesus refers to that story in Matthew 12:40 that the story becomes about a guy named Jonas, not Jonah, and it's now a whale instead of a great fish.

Just shows how perfect and not full of errors the Bible is.

If you are looking for people who will twist God's Word to say what you want it to say, you're barking up the wrong tree.

Let me guess, you next will tell us you think that the Biblical commandments to execute homosexuals (like Elton John and Ellen Degeneres), adulterers (like Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain), and witches or those with familiar spirits (like John Edwards and Sylvia Browne) are just "metaphorical", right?
                              Bible boring? Nonsense!
