    Re: Greetings

I do not know what they were. It's a story my grandfather told me. Just assume they are random denominations

      Re: Greetings

Why? Their denomination is germane to the story.

        Re: Greetings

Not interested in your word games and trick questions wherein you withhold important details and context so you can accuse us of being hypocrites or stupid when we try to answer your questions with what little information we had to start with.

        Let's stick to facts:

The Bible says we must believe in JESUS CHRIST in order to be saved, and JESUS CHRIST says we must keep the laws and do the will of His Father in order to go to Heaven.

Fine. The story is a true one. Go look it up in Colorado murderers about two decades ago. They probably mentioned the denominations there.
I think the one who said yes was a Presbertyrian. But that's all I know

Why don't we talk about you, since this is your thread, and you explain what you expect us to do to lead somebody to GOD who says he only wants to follow the parts of Christianity he finds pleasant, and ignores all the rest.

Until you are willing to follow the whole Bible and make yourself entirely subservient to GOD, there's not a thing we can do to help you.

              Re: Greetings

I don't care what denomination you're from or the priests were from. It was a question of whether the one man was wrong or the three men. That's all. I really could not care less about what church you come from so long as you believe in god and Jesus.

The burden of proof is on you. Please provide a link or it can be safe to presume that you are making up stories out of whole cloth.

True dedication to GOD and JESUS will lead you straight to the front doors of Landover Baptist Church, and any other church who keeps all the laws of GOD and loves JESUS the most. As far as we know, there is no other church so dedicated to GOD as ours.

Nevertheless, you aren't anything even resembling a Christian, because a Christian would be CHRISTlike, and do what JESUS says. You are an admitted wolf in sheep's clothing.

Bit more to being a Christian that saying I believe in God friend. Why do you think we are so instant on reading the whole Bible.

You guys were the one nitpicking on a story where all I wanted was an opinion. Why should it matter unless you are biased already and will make the decision based on their clothes and not their actions?

It doesn't matter anyways. The man who said yes lost his flock because of this and was forced to retire.

I am on the phone right now calling up all my church friends who read this forum, and I cannot find a single one of them who is even remotely interested in hearing any more about this asinine story you're obsessed with.

Unless you happen to be the murderer in your own story, this has nothing to do with what we're discussing here: Your neglect of diligence to scripture.

Your lack of concern for what the Priests believe and practice outside of the story shows your contempt for God's Law. Instead of concerning yourself with obedience to Him, you have pulled this riddle out of your rectum. Well, newsflash buddy: only Christians go to Heaven, not Catholic priests, not Episcopalians, not any other kind of priest. Just Christians who follow the whole Bible out of earnest commitment to His Word.

Why would you think it was okay to ignore the vast majority of God's Word and obey just the parts you find pleasant? Please answer this question, and I promise we will stop asking it. Is it because you are committed to sin and the Lord simultaneously, so that you must compromise your commitment to Him? What vile sin are you addicted to that would make you endanger the fate of your immortal soul?

The Bible says nothing about confessing to a "priest." Confess one to another:

(James 5:16) "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Wrong. It specifically says that the Torah is the first five books of the Old Testament.

Allow me to quote for you the very first sentence on the page:

The Torah (/ˈtɔːrə/; Hebrew: תּוֹרָה‎‎, "Instruction", "Teaching") is the Jewish name for the first five books of the Jewish Bible.
How many books are there in the Old Testament?

                              It is online.
                              WHERE? UNDER WHAT NAME?

                                Re: Greetings

I am a sinner. But at least I am aware that I have sinned and apologize for it. I will not lie to god and say I will never sin again. I am at peace with myself and with my belief that god is a loving god and not an abusive one.
Love me or else is the kind of god you preach. That isn't love to me.
Te god I saw in the bible is mournful when a person is lost and rejoices when they return to him.
If I am to go to hell for that, then so be it. I guess the god I believe is good turned out to be just as bad as the other 2000-something gods that have ever existed in the myriad beliefs of the world.
I wash my hands of this place and insincerely mourn the loss of kindness in your hearts.
