Actually that is not the case anymore....since the stories began to break of the physical and sexual abuse of children by catholic priests in the industrial schools and such places....many irish catholics lost faith and have turned against the church. I personally have never been a supporter of the catholic church....but at the same time I've never known what I should support...if that makes any sense
