You don't worship the Virgin Mary? Then you can't really be a Papist. I should know, I used to be one.Originally posted by Bamakid View PostHello my name is Kirk and I am Catholic. Hello Kirk! Welcome to our friendly forums!Originally posted by Bamakid View PostHello my name is Kirk
I'm sorry to hear that, Kirk. All is not lost, dear. As an infant I also was thrust into the cult that is Roman papism. The Good News is that you can be FREE! Through faith you too can be Saved!Originally posted by Bamakid View Postand I am Catholic.
How wonderful! I like that one, too, and not just because it's the one Scripture held up by waccos at football games. But I must say, the following verses, where the LORD really drives home his point, sets my soul aflame with anticipation!Originally posted by Bamakid View PostMy favorite bible verse is John 3:16
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:18
I want you to think about this verse carefully, Kirk. You are among those who are condemned already. It doesn't have to remain this way.

Why thank you! God does indeed bless us True Christians™! I have a question for you perhaps you could answer, as it is something I myself had been quite ignorant of in my years inside the Roman House of Terror.Originally posted by Bamakid View PostI attended Catholic school from kindergarten until 8th grade and I church regularly. Sorry friend, but you cannot possibly be a Christian. A person cannot be baptized until they have atoned for all their sins. Do you mean to tell everyone, with God as a witness that as a baby, you did this?Originally posted by Bamakid View PostHello my name is Kirk and I am Catholic. No friend, you are no Christian, just a papal pawn. Tell us about the horrors you experienced inside the dress of your local priest? Come clean son,l leave no detail out. We do not even care if you were the instigator. Make a clean breast of it friend, you will feel Jesus lift the weight of your tawdry sins from your narrow shoulders and give your weak back a rest. You know you want to or you would never of come to a True Christian(tm) forum.Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Re: I'm Catholic
And Mary no I can't answer your question on why they do that over there. But in pretty sure you have never seen a Catholic Church in America do it the only thing I can figure is that is just part of there practice over there and they only do it during Easter

But cathlic is universal, so whatever they do over there is appropriate here. So why don't you do it?Originally posted by Bamakid View PostAnd Mary no I can't answer your question on why they do that over there. Thank you for telling me what I would like people to think, nincompoop. You believe the pope is infallible, ie his edicts, though not in accord with scripture, should be treated with the same reverence as if spoken by God?Originally posted by Bamakid View PostYes I do believe in papal infallibility, but that does not mean that I believe the Pope does not or can not comment a sin. So you believe that sin is not a mistake, not wrong, not a failing, and not ineffective? Re: I'm Catholic
Don't despair. The simple cure for Catholic beliefs is to read the Bible and compare it with what you believe. Suddenly the reality of God hits you in the face and you believe in Him as much as I do. You know what you should have been believing and see the lies you have been told.

Yes I do believe that sin is very much wrong and I don't believe that the Pope is God's equal. Papal Infallibility is that God will help the Pope make no errors when speaking of God and Faith
Now for the horrors that you say I have experienced inside the dress of my local priest well that's not even worth commenting on
And I promise I didn't come here to get anything off of my shoulders I came here because I didn't believe what a friend of mine told me about this site but I believe him now and what I can't believe is that its ok for all of you to call of names but its not ok for me to do the same to you all

If sin is a failing as you say, and the Pope sins, and fallibility is failing as the dictionary says, then the Pope is fallible.Originally posted by Iamnakid View PostYes I do believe that sin is very much wrong and I don't believe that the Pope is God's equal. He can't be fallible and infallible at the same time. Does the cognitive dissonance create any discomfort for you?
