  • Hey there, LBC.

How's everyone doing? I recently heard about this forum from a baptist friend of mine. He told me that it's perfect for finding hard and truthful facts about jesus.

I'll be here lurking the forums looking to further expand my knowledge of the bible. If I'm ever incorrect on something, please reference the bible so I know that I'm wrong.

Thanks, and have a great day!

I haven't learned a thing about you other than you don't know how to follow directions. Look at the directions in the little box cleverly concealed right above your OP, then try again.

    Yours in Christ,

Hello Mr. John, and welcome to our friendly forums!

But of course we will reference Holy Scripture. We always do. It's how we know what is right!

But please do tell us what church you go to, what your favorite bible verse is, and how you came to know Jesus!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Very sorry about that. It sure is cleverly hidden!

Here's a couple of my favorite bible verses:
          - Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
          - Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

I'm attending Little Rock Baptist Church in a wealthy suburb of Detroit.

I was raised by good christian parents and ultimately decided to follow him when I was young and haven't ever questioned that decision.

Hmm, this concerns me a bit. A person who never questions is easily led astray. I would hate to think you are following Satan while thinking to yourself you were following Jesus. How would you know if you were being led astray by wolves in sheep's clothing?

Are you saying that changing into a Baptist isn't the right choice? So Baptist's beliefs isn't what I should be believing? I'm a bit confused, please expand on that.

Friend, not receiving special privileges to pander to your fragile ego isn't the same as "massive abuse."

I said "A person who never questions is easily led astray." You said that you decided to follow Jesus when you were young, "and haven't ever questioned that decision." My question is, how do you know that when you were young you were actually following Jesus? How do you know you are now? How does a young child know their faith? It is very rare, although not unheard of, to see such a spiritually gifted child.

I haven't ever thought of changing my path again. Of COURSE I question my religious beliefs! And that's why I'm here! I'm here to further expand my knowledge of Baptist beliefs so I can become a better Baptist. I guess I can say I'm a spiritually gifted child because the path I'm on now is the correct way to go. If you think my decision is wrong and Baptist is not the way to go, I'd like you to prove it.

Read the Bible, sonny. Just read it. Cover to cover. I guarantee you that by the time you get to the bit with the giants and the unicorns you'll appreciate why we find God so fantastic and want to share our appreciation of His reality with the world.

You came to the right place, friend! I'm a bit worried how expressive you are in saying you question your beliefs, though. My husband always says, "an open mind is Satan's playground!". What you need to do is blindly accept the entire Bible for what it is without question. And welcome to the forums!

Friend, perhaps you should try to spread St. Patrick's word when you're sober. And this is a website for true Christian Baptists obeying the word of the Lord, not a group of drunken Scots obeying the word of St. Patrick! If you'd like to do that, maybe you should find another forum for people like you (that is, unless you finally want to confess your sins to our almighty God!).
