  • Hello, I am pleased to meet you.

Hello, I am pleased to meet you.

My name is Consuela, I am from Mexico, from the beginning. Now I live in USA. Although I was born in Mexico, I am now American. I love Jesus, and I don't love the pope. No.

Why would I love him? I have a degree, from college. Does the pope think I am stupid? I do love Jesus, not the pope. Sometimes my parents ask me to marry a man, but they do not even go to church. And they are still catholic, sometimes my father hits me and my mother cries.

I do not have a husband, but I would like one that is the right one for me. Not that one my mother says I should marry, he fixes cars.

My favorite Bible verse is from 1 Corinthians 14:6

"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth."

Re: Hello, I am pleased to meet you.

Welcome, Consuela. What church do you go to? How did you come to find Jesus?
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Well Consuela, you must really be quite a discipline problem if your father is having to use corporal punishment and your mother is crying all the time and you won't even marry the man she told you to marry.

What's the matter, you think an grease monkey isn't good enough for you? Are you holding out for a day laborer or something?

Anyway, I do congratulate you for rejecting the Pope. For one such as yourself, that is generally the first big step toward salvation.

Ignore your mother, women shouldn't be involved in this. Just wait until your father has selected a proper Christian husband for you. In your case I would also involve a Pastor. And don't wait as you clearly need a man to guide you.
5 Reasons why GOD HATES WOMEN!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

Welcome young lady. Whose lawn does your father tend? You need to mind what he says. You mother is just a female and therefore her opinions mean little. Listen to your father and your Pastor. Being men, they understand these sorts of things and will make the correct choice for you. Remember, a ladies job is to be silent and gracious.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: Hello, I am pleased to meet you.

Oh, thank you for welcoming me. I do try and be quiet and silent, but it is more difficult sometimes for me. All women talk to much, I know.

My father looks after the graveyard for a big catholic church here in San Antonio. I do what he says, because the Bible tells me. But should I agree to marry a catholic boy, who fixes cars? I have a college degree.

I go to my local Baptist church, and the Pastor is very kind. He does not know the answer, and tells me I must pray.

I am sorry for talking too much. I will be silent now, I promise you.

The Bible is clear on parental authority, young lady:

"Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;" Ephesians 6:2.

I can't see a way out of it, Consuela, unless a Pastor can find an answer I have missed, not being a real scholar.

But, is there any way that this man is not your father? If that was the case, you wouldn't have to obey him in this marriage.

                Thank you, kind Mr. Hopkins.

Re: Hello, I am pleased to meet you.

My father was very angry. He beat me, then he beat my mother, then he beat me again, then he beat my mother again.

I think my jaw is broken, but I am scared to go to hospital. I don't think I can walk all the way there anyway. All my father said is "she was never meant to know," and kept screaming at mother as he was beating me. And my mother was crying and crying.

Please help me, Jesus, only You can help me, nobody else can help.

                    Consuela.

Hello Consuela, and welcome to our friendly forums!

Have you tried prayer? What does the Holy Spirit tell you?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

To warn you, do not go to the hospital. It's full of nasty, atheist, god-mocking, science-loving, nazis; Yes, the best way to heal your jaw is trusting in God. If you pray to him and show your love for Jesus, you will find that your jaw will no longer hurt, as He will have mercy on you.

Oh, Mr. Machine, I promise I do not want your money, I have a job and I tithe to my church.

I am sorry for my bad American, I try every day to be better with my talking and writing.

A friend has told me that there is DNA testing. Is this Christian, or not? I would like to test my father, as I think he may not be my father, and then I would not have to obey him to marry this catholic boy mechanic.
