Got Off On a Bad Foot - Let's Try This Again

Hello again- I made an introduction post earlier today that didn't get the response I was hoping for. My emotions got the best of me and I got a little worked up I am sorry... But not to worry. I have a new intro, as well as a new question for all of you True Christians.

I am a Canadian girl (does this make me an eskimo? I'll assume you're referring to Canadians when you call people eskimos, am I wrong?)

I have an extensive fascination with religion lately. Aka I like to learn and discuss different views.

I was once a part of the Catholic system, but now I have renounced that faith and I am currently searching life for answers. (Ouu profound, right?)

This is the most direct, most brutally honest Baptist website I have been able to find aside from the Westboro Church (godhatesfags.com)... That being the reason I am here. I honestly had no idea that these views still existed in the modern world, and it is refreshing to see a group of Christians who actually know the Bible they preach. I will give you all the credit in the world for that.

...Now with that said, I have a legitimate question. Tonight I was doing some more reading online and I stumbled across a website that interested me.

This website is for sale! thelostbooks.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, thelostbooks.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

    The Lost Books.com

I have heard of this theory before, but I didn't really think about it until now. If you don't have the time or energy to read the webpage, it basically describes how books(the Apocrypha) from the King James Bible were removed in the 19th century.

What are the views of True Christians on the theory that the "Apocrypha" was once a part of, and since has been removed, from the Bible? What are your views on the "Apocrypha" alltogether?

Note, I have no opinion on the matter. I just want YOUR opinions. GO!

Well, us girls tend to get that way. It's why our husbands are to be our heads (Ephesians 5:23)

Well Canada is socialist, and yes there are Eskimos in Canada, but Eskimos are found throughout the entire Northern circle.

That fascination is Jesus knocking, won't you open your heart.

Westboro are not True Christians. If you look into their history, Fred Phelps was an ACLU lawyer who helped bring down Jim Crowe laws, he also supported Al Gore on his 2000 presidential run. Also you'll notice that the women in his church wear jeans (Deuteronomy 22:5) His daughter seems to be the backup preacher (1 Corinthians 14:34) and men who marry the Phelps girls tend to take the Phelps name (Colossians 3:18).

Yeah, to be honest I could understand that sometimes. My father is the voice of reason in our home, despite the fact we are not practicing Christians. Men have a better time keeping their cool. My mother and I will argue, and he will always know what to say to settle us down.

I am still learning about different religions before I come to a conclusion on that one.

See, I always thought that! They seem like a cult to me. I always kind of wondered how they got away with having a female spokesperson (Shirley Phelps, I believe?) in such a male-oriented environment. I can't deny though, they are initially what made me discover the denomiation of Baptist. I probably would have never known this religion existed without them.

I am unsure if I am able to say on this, but I actually think I know what OP is talking about. The version that real Christians (e.g. The lovely people of this community) use is KJV 1611, which does include the apocrypha (I do at least know mine does). This is one of the reasons why we irritate when people quote other versions of the Bible. God clearly tells us not to add nor diminish to his Word, and other versions blatantly disobey this.

It's not our opinion that matters. It's God's.

I'll give you an example. I've never actually met a queer boy that's not basically a decent fellow. They don't seem to be more likely to be thieves or liars and are polite and considerate. I'm not personally affected by them sticking things up each others' bottoms. Without God's wisdom I'd probably tolerate them and do business with them.

But the word of God tells me all about how God hates them and wants them dead. Hard evidence like AIDS and Hurricane Katrina show God's anger that we don't kill them as He commands, instead passing laws that mean they have the same rights as normal people.

Can you see how if you don't follow the word of God it's all too easy to use your own opinion to make decisions that might send you to Hell?

Read the Bible. It's the only way to follow the Lord without making such mistakes or being misled by others who think they know better than God.

John 5:46,47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

            Welcome to the forum SSW.

I can only answer your question from a Christian point of view and not that of a True Christian. So I will leave that answer up to the Pastors.

However, if you want to know more try this link.http://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Apocrypha-Books/

            Hope this helps.

So you've signed up twice and still not read the FAQ's................?

              We do not post opinions.

Here is the FAQ thread —> —> —>

Mrs Etheldreda has linked to some material concerning the repugnant creed of catholicism and its obsession with the heretical apocrypha, dancing idols and magic dragons. That is what happens when you look for "answers" in "life itself" as she well knows and we greatly value her contribution. Obviously she never presents opinions or intrudes teaching but quotes Scripture with links to context [subject to Pastoral approval] here is her recent post:

Satan uses the apocrypha but is also willing to use poison. Many Christians have been poisoned by Romish moles. Satan also uses sex perverts, marijuana, lies, corruption, cocaine and prostitutes to ruin and destroy. Lascivious music has even been introduced into counterfeit churches with rhythms and salacious harmonies to stimulate lechery and vice. The vatican is a good example, as are modern "translations" of The Bible set to music using jungle beats and post hypnotic suggestion to encourage fornication. Catholics in particular seem to think of little else and get a "special" reward from their priest if they can seduce a protestant. There is much historical evidence for this, some of it collated in this tract:

That places your departure from popish compulsions in context. Satan will renew his attack now that Jesus has led you here. Contact The Pastoral Team to accept Jesus today.

SSW, I do not appreciate your sarcasm. Nor do I appreciate your command to "Go!", as if this was some sort of a game where our goal is to fall all over ourselves trying to impress you. I don't care about impressing you. If you'd like to try and impress me, however, you can start by taking God seriously.
