    Greetings

Hello all, my name is Al Simmons.

I am a man who has been lost for quite some time,
you see my story begins in my native Detroit.

I was a good Christian man there, and my life, at least as I intended it to be was dedicated to praising Jesus.

In fact when the time came, I even signed up for a missionary trip to Botswana, to teach the natives.

But on that trip, I came across something despicable.

What that was, was the fact that my family was part of the WBC, and were intending to corrupt the young Batswana children with false Christianity.

Hence, being the Christian I was, I called them on it, and in response, they beat me unconscious and left me in Botswana to die all alone.

Then, as I woke up the next morning, I found a little boy sitting next to me, and out of the goodness of his own heart, he gave me a bowl of water for no repayment whatsoever.

With a smile, I took the water and eventually as the days went on found my way home to Detroit.

Upon which my folks were arrested, and I came here to the LBC.

Thanks you friends, for allowing me to tell my story to you.

Hi, Nick! What church do you go to, what is your favourite Bible verse and when did you first find The Lord?

    YIC
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Hello. I go to the Second Baptist Church of Detroit. My first bible verse, is

Proverbs 24:14 Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off. ,

and as for when I first found the Lord...

well to say it best, I first found the Lord when I met that boy.

As it was the sight of that boy and others like him, that made me realize how great God is, and that the world we live in is not as bad a place, especially if there are good natured people left in it.

        Oh, that's nice!

How many children do you have, dear?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

          Welcome fellow Michigander

I admire you for the courage to live in Detroit. I am always scared to death when I go through that city.

And yes, our Mighty God is truly great. My favorite Bible verses remind me how fierce He is (Psalm 78:49, Isaiah 13:9), the fact that He never forgets anything (Exodus 20:5), His love of war (Exodus 15:3), and His treatment of people He doesn't like (1 Samuel 15:3, Psalm 137:9, Ezekiel 20:25-26, 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12).

          Praise our Lord!!

I don't know and I don't care, but I do know that some post-apocalyptic Hellywood movies were filmed there. You don't need any additional scenery, it's all there.

Detroit is the most depressing place I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of depressing places on my missionary trips to South America and Eastern Europe. I guess this is what happens to a city when all white people leave

I didn't take any of the photos (I'm seriously scared to stop the car and get out the camera), but the pics above and below are real.

This is a very tall building in the downtown area (I think it used to be a hotel):

This used to be a shopping mall:

This very strange house (in a practically abandoned neighborhood) always bugs me (sorry for huge pic):

Having children is much more productive if they exist in the present.
