    Re: hello

Hello and welcome to our friendly forums! I'm so sorry to hear you were denied the Truth(c) in your childhood. What terrible, sinful burden upon your soul has brought you to Christ?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

        Re: hello

Welcome friend, tell us your story of how life has given you a raw deal and that repenting might just provide you with redemption. What makes you think Jesus will accept you even after all the sins and denial of His Everlasting Love?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Secular background is no excuse since like everyone friend, you secretly believe in God.

So what church do you stiff and what is your favorite Bible verse to ignore?

That is very sad Collins. One of the first thing young men are taught is the story of Onan. You are not a wanker, are you?

This is called the introduction section of the forum for a reason. Please tell us about yourself. How old are you? What church were you raised in? Are you a queer? How do you resist sin if you aren't a Christian?

If you'd like to find out more about Landover Baptist Church, please read THIS thread created especially for new posters.

If you have a question, use the "search" function before posting it. Most likely it is being discussed somewhere on this Godly forum. Please don't waste God's precious bandwidth.

Jesus will make you a better person -- that is to say, more like God. Because Jesus doesn't like you the way you are, as a sinner (Rom 3:23), He will completely transform you. The person you are now will cease to exist and you will become the Holy Spirit's puppet.

Rom 6:2b-3 How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The old you will die, and Jesus will live in you, a bit like those secular movies where aliens from outer space take over people's bodies. You will have to give up thinking for yourself (Prov 3:5). You will have to deny your own desires (Mat 16:24). You will be God's slave (Rom 6:22). You will have to force your own body into submission (1 Cor 9:27). You will have to completely give up your former life (Lk 14:26-27). You will have to offer yourself as a living sacrifice to God (Rom 12:1). You will have to be prepared to die for God (Mat 10:28).

The cost of following Jesus is high. But the reward is you get to be a better person, as you said; more like God. Your apathy towards homosexuals will disappear and you will abhor them as much as God does. Your attitude towards your wife will change. You'll no longer see her as your equal but and as your helpmeet, your property. Your eyes will be opened and you will see your children as they really are -- ugly sinners from birth (Ps 51:5) who need to have the folly beaten out of them (Prov 22:15). All this will happen when you surrender your mind and will to God and obey every commandment in His Word without question (Jas 2:10). It really changes you. And you will also get to go to heaven and not go to hell.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share the Gospel. I never get tired of telling it.
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
