    Sure, and maybe He spoke in semaphore.

    The list of what God could have done but didn't is infinite. But why waste your time with creating it? Why do you not trust the LORD to have known what He was doing? Do you think you're smarter than Him?

      So let me get this straight. In your 'math', the final value is not important. Accuracy is insignificant. Close enough is all you want.

      Horse pucks! Accuracy is the difference between 'well done' and 'burnt'.
      Between a mans pants having the correct break at the ankle and what they sell to women as 'Capris'.

      Could you imagine going to a gas station and more or (probably) less, getting a gallon?

      Show me in the Bible where 'so-so' is considered a 'good thing'.

      I know these days, where every kid gets a prize and we are all impressed a kid stopped eating paste and 'graduated' to go on to first grade. However, some people, mostly Godly Americans, do not accept mediocrity.

      Imagine traveling from New York to California. You look at a map. You figure out you need to go west at 97 degrees. But you go 98. Close enough, right? Wrong friend, you end up in a donkey bar in Tijuana and are part of the show. Still think 'close enough' is 'just fine'?
      Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
      Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
      Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

        Well if you actually understood your facts, you would know that pi is irrational. There is no terminating value of it! And not only that, but it is transcendental so it cannot be expressed algebraically.

          Hi sweetie!

          I have restrained myself from participating in this thread, because I am a feeble minded woman, therefore God did not endow me with enough brain power to understand mathematics.

          I know this, though: pi is not "irrational" (duh! It was created by God, are you trying to imply that He is irrational?), and of course it can be expressed algebraically.

          Here it is:

          π = 3
          (sorry, the symbol doesn't show up very nicely, but you get my point)

          We know that pi is equal to 3, because God told us so:

          1 Kings 7:23 And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

          diameter = 10 cubits
          circumference = 30 cubits

          pi = circumference/diameter = 30/10 = 3.

          Case closed.
          God created fossils to test our faith.

            Ok, go ahead and create a circle with a diameter of 10 cm (nice small unit). Now approximate pi. As your parameter (circumference) approaches the circumference of the circle, the ratio of circumference/diameter will get closer to pi (3.1415265.......)

              I don't need to do that, I trust God, and God tells me that pi = 3. Why should I distrust God's word? One thing leads to another, and if I distrust God on this issue, next day I will be doubting the existence of Heaven and Hell and God Himself. No, thank you, I do not wish to go down that road.

              Anyway, if you did that experiment and got that weird result, it just goes to show you that you're a flawed, imperfect human being. I am 100% sure, scratch that, I'm 150% sure that if a True Christian™ man attempts that experiment, he will receive what God said it is - 3.00000000.....

                        So God was lying when He said all Scripture is given by inspiration of Himself, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)? Why? Why would the LORD lie to us like a bunch of gullible saps?

                          So you claim to be perfect and you claim anyone who is perfect will find it to be exactly three. Well if you're so confident, then go for it! You think you will find it to be three? Then show me. I think you are too afraid that you will find the actual value of pi.
