    An Apology to Forum Members

    Dear Forum Members,

I was recently sanctioned by the Pastor for remarks I made that seem to given the impression that I thought someone from this Forum might be wrong. In no way was anyone from this Forum wrong. I was wrong for not making clear that my comments were only a question, and I accept that my views are probably wrong.

I would like to apologize to anyone I offended. And offer this question as gratitude for only sanctioning me and not banning me. What does this mean?

    Matthew Chapter 9

    10. Then it happened that as Jesus was reclining at the table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His disciples.
    11. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, "Why is your Teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners?"
    12. But when Jesus heard this, He said,
"It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.

    13. "But go and learn what this means: `I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

M't:9:10: And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
M't:9:11: And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
M't:9:12: But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
M't:9:13: But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:
for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

    And this?

    Matthew 19

    21. Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
    22. But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.
    23. And Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
    24. "Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

M't:19:21: Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
M't:19:22: But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
M't:19:23: Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
M't:19:24: And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

I'm confused. You think "offering" us questions is how you show gratitude?

Why don't you tell us what you think those verses mean?

Hint: They do not in any way imply that sin ought to be tolerated. Nor do they imply that God approves of tax-and-spend liberalism, i.e., socialism.

Amen, Brother. The kinds of quirky things liberals think they can justify with Scripture would be funny if it weren't so offensive.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
