  • Hideous Nativity Scene

This almost makes me want to use foul language like DARN and PHOOEY. Oops, I just did.

I had to go to Long Island today and the LIRR passed by many lovely decorations in honor of our Saviour's upcoming birthday (Praise Him!). However, we passed by one home whose blasphemous display made me want to exit the train and destroy it immediately.

It all began so Biblically - there were three wise men, holding gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. There were donkeys and cattle and sheep and goats and straw and angels and Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, and in the manger was - what????? A SHREK BABY. SHREK? Our LORD JESUS depicted as an ogre? I looked closer and there behind Joseph stood SANTA. Right beside Santa was an inflatable Grinch, three reindeer bobbing their heads up and down as if giving unnatural s-e-x-u-a-l acts. And then an inflatable adult Shrek, dressed in red and green with the words "Happy Holidays!" emblazoned on his shirt.

I started praying and asking God to curse that home, much to the chagrin of my fellow passengers. On the return trip, I wrote the house number down and I plan to enlist the help of some brothers at church to visit the home and ask the owners to more accurately display the true scene, with all those extra characters removed. Jesus should be as He was: blonde, blue eyed, white skin, and full of joy and wonderment. I would appreciate your prayers. If the owners won't cooperate, I will circulate a petition to the neighbors and ask the town board to have the scene taken down immediately.

I'm surprised Snoopy or Charlie Brown wasn't in the mix, with Snoopy's doghouse all aglow and Charlie's miserable tree drooping over our Saviour.

    COME LORD JESUS!
    BrotherLarry
    Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
    Amen and Amen

Buddy, I'm sorry to tell you this, but Jesus would have definitely not been white skinned, as he lived in Nazareth, and at one point lived in Israel, where the people are not white.

Dear, have you seen a Jew lately? The only non-white Jews I've ever heard about are those weird converts somewhere in Ethiopia. And I've never seen one of them, they keep very low key. It's the white variety that controls the diamond market.

The people who make these manger scenes do research--more than you, my friend. Based on this, Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and wise men are porcelain white figures.

If you ever had the notion there is no gay agenda, you are so wrong. This nativity scene is being replicated across the country. How much desecration of Baby Jesus do we have to put up with?

It seems a bit rich, a Romish bishop complaining about sacrilegious attacks on the Christian Faith. Is pink Joseph any worse that a dead Jesus idol? Satan loves it when they get going with their little bells all gawping at Jesus in His suffering because it keeps the memory alive. Satan knows what's coming when Jesus returns to earth and needs to get his jollies at every opportunity so seeing his future subjects worshipping dead Jesus by idolatry would be about as frothy as it gets for him, then comes HELL FOREVER anyway, what exactly is going on under the pink robes?

I think the manger looks very uncomfortable. The whole point of putting Jesus in a manger was for Him to be comfortable, at least more comfortable than on the floor. That manger as depicted would be LESS comfortable than the floor.

You are very observant, Sister Mitza. It looks like the homer parents just parked Baby Jesus in a lawn chair. Disgusting.

Dear Lord! Those Joseph and Marty figurines sure don't look like virgins to me! I hate to think how they would have conceived the thought of a Gay Baby Jesus!

Good thought, Mrs. Moans. The notion there could be a virgin birth to a man with a beard goes to shows how how far homers will go to rewrite history.
