Christmas Shoes is an evil song. The joke is rather relevant based on the fact that if Jesus cares what you wear when you get to heaven what is the point. Material possesions have nothing to do with Jesus, and historically Christmas is not so much about Jesus anymore. I used to consider myself a Christian but society screwed up my beliefs. Christmas also used to be a pagan holiday that was generally celebrated during the crusades. Based on the averge winter palistinian climate shepards would freeze, and Jesus was very far from them. Christmas is essentially a holiday about converting others. The Christmas shoes song is essentially about the flaws of society in which a young child gives all of his money to the store instead of giving it to the church. He then complains to some old man who gives him the rest of the money. The song represents the need for materialistic items which used to have nothing to do with christmas. The holiday has taken a turn for the worst and every year I see christmas sales i want to crucify store owners. Just buy your kids unecessary possesions after the children that god loves(which is somewhat ironic considering they have aids, are raped, and are pretty much the poorest people on earth) are making those shoes. The funny part of the song is about 3 children are dying or being underpaid in China while this kids mother is using the benefits of healh care and being hospitalized to die semi peacefuly. Yay for christmas, killing children for our own personal gain. As the brilliant Serj Tanaken wrote in the song "soldier side" God is wearing black today. Meaning the human race is essentially dead, and like it or not I'll probably see 85% of you in hell, if its real I'm looking forward to it, I can stand the heat.

Well not sure why you necroposted on a thread over a year old. But what is wrong with this song?

Why are you asking other people if you should hate a song or not? Are you completely incapable of thinking for yourself?

As for the song, what's wrong with it? Kid's handle death in different ways. He want's his mom to look good for Jesus, what's wrong with that?

Oh and as far as the "Jesus never said anything about what you should wear to get into heaven", perhaps the God mocking idiot should take a good look at Matthew 22

In all honesty, my problem with the song is that a bed-ridden woman doesn't need shoes.

An attractive bed-jacket or nightgown, sure, but shoes seem like a very pointless choice.


Just because one is a committed Christian it doesn't mean one can't be practical.

I saw this story about Atheists putting up this billboard:


They say it's an attempt to bring out more "closeted atheists" or as they're better known, false Christians. I say all the better for people to be showing off their true beliefs (or lack of), it's so much easier to figure out who the Good ones are, and who are really working for Satan.

Just because one is a committed Christian it doesn't mean one can't be practical.

Exactly what is practical about the laws that God handed down to us in the Bible? Is it practical that I have to be very careful not to wear clothes made of more than one type of fabric? (Do you know how hard it is to find socks or - forgive me ladies - underwear that is not made of some sort of poly-cotton blend?) Is it PRACTICAL that if my daughter is raped, I have to get the rapist to marry her? No! If God hadn't ordered me to do so, it would make my life MUCH easier and "practical." But he DID order it so I do it. I would think that one would have to be practically brain-dead not to see this!
