  • What Did that Cripple Tiny Tim Do For Anyone?

Every year, atheists try to push their liberal political agenda on us by running out the Charles Dickens play, The Christmas Carol.

There is nothing Christian in it. It's propaganda message comes when a smart assed crippled kid trys to entertain adults like he's normal.

The subtle message is, "Let's have socialism so we can increase the public money spent on cripples."

Performing this play at community theaters is one more part of the War on Christmas.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Tiny Tim is FULL OF SIN,

his evil ways have been with repaid with the gift of being crippled.

    for the Atheists:

    Ezekiel 20:25-26
I also gave them over to statutes that were not good and laws they could not live by; I let them become defiled through their gifts—the sacrifice of every firstborn—that I might fill them with horror so they would know that I am the LORD.
Exodus 21:20-21 If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.

Tiny Tim was just another 47%er, mooching off society instead of standing on his own two feet.

EXACTLY! You take Tiny Tim's crutches away, what does he have? NOTHING!

I would like to see a version of A Christmas Carol were Tiny Tim apologizes to Ebeneezer Scrooge.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

I've ALWAYS hated that show! It's just a ye olden times version of LIEberal, Nanny State hogwash! And they keep remaking it OVER AND OVER again. I've even seen some black and white versions. And they're all the same . . . TERRIBLE!!!

In a real free market, Scrooge could treat his employees however he likes and he could pay them whatever wage they'd put up with! If Bob Crachet doesn't like the working conditions, he could always look for another job. But I guess since the show is from Communist England, they slanted it so that it seems like employers owe some sort of loyalty to their workers or whatever. I'll tell you what workers deserve, a pay check and nothing more!

You don't want to work when your employer asks you too? Then friggin' quit and stop whining about your sick kid!

It's a known fact the author, Charles Dickens, was an advocate of wealth redistribution. This story is Marxist in nature, and as such is an affront to all that is holy.

Re: What Did that Cripple Tiny Tim Do For Anyone?

I have never been 100% sure Tiny Sin was a legitimate cripple. I have always wondered if it was a sham, a farce. I kinda think Tiny Sin orchestrated his crippledness to gain pity and sorrow and to perhaps make a few bucks. If you look at today's society and how all the blacks and Mexicans are on government welfare when they are able to get a job, well, it makes me wonder if Tiny Sin wasn't the innovator of scheming a fake disability for personal and financial gain...

Re: What Did that Cripple Tiny Tim Do For Anyone?

Not only that, but Tiny Tim had a team of fortune telling henchmen called "The Three Ghosts". They managed to swindle Godly Ebeneezer Scrooge out of his hard earned money.

In the version I adapted for a Church drama group, Tiny Tim and The Three Ghosts end up at the gallows, whilst the Cratchett family are transported to Australia for the term of their natural lives. Now that's what I call a 'happy ending'.

Re: What Did that Cripple Tiny Tim Do For Anyone?

Dickens was no doubt dedicated to social justice and Fabian socialism, and his stories were littered with hopelessly insufferable little waif characters like Tiny Tim to garner sympathy for his Marxist agenda.

Contrary to Dickens misguided notions, good capitalists like Scrooge did not "hoard" their money but regularly invested it in real estate, the railway building boom at the time, as well as commodities like tea or cotton which further spawned the industrial revolution.

The ultimate problem with A Christmas Carol is the mistaken notion that redemption can be bought by sending a prize turkey to the Cratchit family – a sure path to eternal damnation. Do not let your Christian family view this vile story.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

                        - Ephesians 2:8-9

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
                        Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

                        - 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9
                        Praise Jesus!
                        Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

This was the only decent Republican like scene in the whole movie. I like how Mr. Scrooge stopped those liberal socialists dead in the their tracks. I cannot stand this liberal sense of entitlement.

``At this festive season of the year, Mr Scrooge,'' said the gentleman, taking up a pen, ``it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir.''

``Are there no prisons?'' asked Scrooge.

``Plenty of prisons,'' said the gentleman, laying down the pen again.

``And the Union workhouses?'' demanded Scrooge. ``Are they still in operation?''

``They are. Still,'' returned the gentleman, `` I wish I could say they were not.''
``The Treadmill and the Poor Law are in full vigour, then?'' said Scrooge.
                          ``Both very busy, sir.''
``Oh! I was afraid, from what you said at first, that something had occurred to stop them in their useful course,'' said Scrooge. ``I'm very glad to hear it.''

``Under the impression that they scarcely furnish Christian cheer of mind or body to the multitude,'' returned the gentleman, ``a few of us are endeavouring to raise a fund to buy the Poor some meat and drink, and means of warmth. We choose this time, because it is a time, of all others, when Want is keenly felt, and Abundance rejoices. What shall I put you down for?''

                          ``Nothing!'' Scrooge replied.

                          ``You wish to be anonymous?''

``I wish to be left alone,'' said Scrooge. ``Since you ask me what I wish, gentlemen, that is my answer. I don't make merry myself at Christmas and I can't afford to make idle people merry. I help to support the establishments I have mentioned: they cost enough: and those who are badly off must go there.''

``Many can't go there; and many would rather die.''

``If they would rather die,'' said Scrooge, ``they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population. Besides -- excuse me -- I don't know that.''

``But you might know it,'' observed the gentleman.

``It's not my business,'' Scrooge returned. ``It's enough for a man to understand his own business, and not to interfere with other people's. Mine occupies me constantly. Good afternoon, gentlemen!''

This story has been handed down through generations as the quintessential morality play on charity. In reality, this story is pure propaganda for Socialism/Communism. Listen carefully to what the characters say. They imply that one should celebrate christmas in the way that is approved by society(Socialism). That something is wrong with you if you don't. Charitable giving to deserving underpriviledged is not encouraged. Rather, a sense of entitlement is implied, especially by the ghost of christmas present. The word "profit" is spoken with disgust. The entire setting is skewed toward a zero sum bias where people are only rich by causing misery to others.

I don't see how modern day people can watch this without seeing this. This work is a political protest that ranks with The Jungle as propaganda. Dickens wrote this story at a time when England was going through the Industrial Revolution. Social injustice was the newest cause of the scholarly and the political left. Out of this atmoshpere the Communist Manifesto was written. The beliefs espoused by this story, when taken to their farthest conclusion, result in misery for more humans than not.

To uplift this movie as moral entertainment to children year after year is detrimental to a Liberty minded people. It, along with countless other movies, books, songs, etc., contributes to the long slide into socialism that we are sinking into. Don't watch it. I never will again.
