I must say, though, that this fellow, Mr. Thomas (I will not dignify him with the designation of "Brother".) seems to have a very low opinion of the menfolk in our church community. He keeps pushing his "disciplinary" measures on the ladies of Landover as though it were his sole responsibility-- implying that our fine, upstanding True Christian™ pastors, husbands and brothers are incapable of fulfilling The Lord's wishes in this matter.

Yes, we mere females here at are well-versed in scripture and strong in our faith. That might make us intimidating to false Christians and other weak men.

However, our Brothers in Christ have matters well in hand. They guide our Church on the ground as well as here on the web. They also reside over their families with an eye to honoring Biblical principles. Mr. Thomas' continued lectures here are an insult to their authority.

It's impossible to say one book of The Bible is better than another. At a particular time Ruth brings His message of compassion and justice, then another week or another year Esther conveys God's pastoral care; we are His sheep after all. Judges so often speaks to us in so many situations where our little concerns have been preempted in the majesty of history. God well knew the folly of kings (better than many alternatives perhaps, France exemplifying this) yet in His compassion acknowledged the will of the people over Judges like Deborah, Shagmar, Eli and even Samuel along with others not themselves ruling but existing as conduits for mercy, bringing deliverance at some small cost where otherwise ruin loomed.

I'm sorry, that's all getting a bit flowery but the point remains: follow God, not something dreamed up to counter what He intended. Deborah followed God, she did not want to be king and everyone prospered. Only in Him will any nation ever prosper, the truth of which is as clear today as it was to Deborah.

Let's look at this verse color-coded:

Ecclesiastes 7:26 And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

The author makes an analogy with death (in blue) to a very specific kind of a woman - the kind who traps sinners (as defined in red). Those loved by God are safe from her (in green), but the sinners will fall into her traps (in purple).

To accuse a True Christian™ woman of being anything like that is a grave offense, as exemplified in verses that I've helpfully provided above. (You would already have known them if you have ever read the Holy Bible, but that is the problem with cherry pickers like you, you never want to read the whole thing).

For your information, a True Christian™ woman is the kind of a woman described in great detail in the verses below. I highlighted in blue the one you really should ponder upon:

If i remember correctly, the actual leader of that Calvinistic group is one of the daughter of Fred Phelps, their deceased founder. Here is their statement:

The passages in question are 1 Corinthians 14:34: "let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law"; and 1 Timothy 2:12: “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” This commandment in the New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is part of how we are distinguished as the Bride of Christ. The women of WBC keep silence in the church service, demonstrating that they recognize they are to be under obedience to either their father or (if married) their husband. This obedience to the authority constituted by God from the beginning is also demonstrated in the fact that the women of WBC do not cut their hair and while in the church service they have their heads covered (see 1 Corinthians 11:5-10). That passage shows how critical the matter of the woman's demonstrated submission to God's standard of authority (chain-of-command, if you will) inasmuch as it closes with "because of the angels". That is, this is a matter that goes (for the women who violate it and the men -- fathers or husbands -- who allow it) to the heart of what cast a full third of the created race of angels: pride-driven rebellion against God!
There is, as the great preacher Lemuel articulates at Ecclesiastes 3:7 "... A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;" when these women of WBC are not in the church service they understand, love, embrace, cherish, and make full proof of their ministry to their co-elect, their husbands, their children, and the reprobate world. They speak of God, His attributes, His commandments, His providence, His judgments, and that most glorious of things -- His return in power and glory! They speak because, like those whom Christ referenced at Luke 19:40, if they did not speak the very stones would immediately cry out!

Still i don't see any justification for their ways of preaching. If they want to be recognized as a valid Church, they should at least remove their Hyper-Calvinist doctrine and replace it with the Baptist doctrine.


But, returning to the argument. You seem to forget that sometimes women are needed to preach the Truth. An example is St. Martha, sister of St. Mary Magdalene, who went in France and preached the Gospel, while taming a Bowser-like monster named Tarrasque.


Another example would be the godly St. Therese d'Avila, who is known as one of the best intellectual in the Catholic Church and wrote many apologies to Christianity.


Also, the Italian state has no problem in having women teaching in Cathechism and Religion's Classes. Unfortunately, atheists declared an "Holy War" against God to replace the infallible teachings in schools by teachers that were chose directly by the Church.


I also have to suspect that you are hearing demons that decieve you into thinking it it is Jesus. I know that in the case of St. Joan of Arc it was actually angels, but in your case i would ask Jesus to give you a stigmata.

There is NO comma after "death" that you erroneously proposed, therefore the sentence continues with women in general, get it?


“whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands:”

Again, the sentence continues with women in general after the comma as they try to take over man’s superiority that goes against the scriptures!


“whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her;”

AGAIN, as the sentence in context continues, any man that wants to PLEASE JESUS is to escape from women in general, 2+2=4!


“but the sinner shall be taken by her.”

The sinner is a wimpy man that is [*** DISGUSTING POTTY LANGUAGE REMOVED BY DEDICATED MODERATOR ***], period!


Dear Basilissa, may I suggest that you take an online “Reading Comprehension Class” post haste so as to NOT slap Jesus in the face again by rewriting His direct and inspired words which is UNGODLY! “Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Pertaining to your post #42 above, are you calling Jesus a LIAR when His direct and inspired words stated herewith: "The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church." (1 Corinthians 14:34-35)

What the inspired by Jesus statements regarding women being silent in churches, can only mean that they are to be silent outside of churches as well relative to spreading the words of Jesus within the scriptures! I will pray for you tonight when I check in with Jesus in prayer, in that you will actually understand the passage in question above relating to the Bible 2nd class woman. You can thank me later.
